Anyone notice Sting4S was active 20 hours ago? I thought he said he'd never come back.

I wonder what he's up to.

Probably something like this.

Why hasn't the "Today's Birthdays" from the old boards made a comeback yet? I realize it's not a very important feature, and some might find it useless, but I thought it was pretty cool and would like to see it return.

There was a "Today's Birthdays" feature? Never knew. I'd also like for this to be added.

Does the CIA assassinated JFK hypothesis have any veracity or is it bullsh*t?

It's not a hypothesis.

It's the truth. :p

Does the CIA assassinated JFK hypothesis have any veracity or is it bullsh*t?

I think there were some suspicious things about the shooting, such as Oswald's dodgy marksmanship (though it could have just been luck if he were that horrible), discrepancies about the entry and exit points of the bullet(s) (it's generally agreed that three shots were fired, but not on how many hit) on JFK's death certificate and the autopsy reports, and the confiscation of photographs. There are also several zany theories, such as the Federal Reserve or Israel being behind the masterminds, or that LBJ was even behind it.

As for the CIA, Kennedy didn't much care the organization, even once saying "I want to splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds", so there's little doubt that the two parties had a mutual dislike of one another. Enough to kill though? Who knows?

Oswold was a highly talented marksman- he scored 212 during his Marine Corps career, earning him a "Sharpshooter" ranking. He later retested as the lower ranked "Marksman", but was consistently above average in shooting.

I didn't know about the higher score during his Marine years, my history professor was insistent that he was a poor shot and I just went with that.

Spaghetti Cat

Pretty much, the only real conspiracy was to cover up some of Oswold's Soviet/Cuban connections, but that was probably to prevent WW3 if most people found out about it. Kinda like today and the missing pages from the 9/11 commission.

Actually, I did think of another question to ask:

Why do they teach young children the pledge of allegiance? I remember I learned it when I was just 4 years old and really didn't understand the meaning of the words coming out of my mouth until a few years later, and I imagine most other kids were the same.

Additionally, is it right to pledge allegiance to your nation? I can understand its importance in war time where it could be used to dissuade any defectors from shifting their alliance to an invading entity, but I don't see why it's important for children to not only say it, but to say it every day.

It's not. If anything, it's an anachronistic piece of nationalistic heritage that needs be got rid of as soon as possible. It also alludes to the status of a "nation under God", and is therefore unsuitable for a classroom on the grounds that it contains religious symbolism while the country follows a secularist model.

Secular, since when?? While the first amendment promotes freedom of religion, it doesn't negate religion either. In-fact it's expressed that our rights are derived from a creator. Our nation was founded on Judeo-Christian philosophies, so 'under God' is perfectly acceptable.

There are a few atheists at my school who refuse to say it, and neither do I. Mostly because the terms "liberty and justice for all" are outright lies, and the pledge itself is purely traditional. Come on people, get with the times. The horrible, close minded times.

The Constitution is secular in nature, this is fairly obvious.

"The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States."

"I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between Church & State" (textbook definition of secularism)

To recite the Pledge of Allegiance in the classroom is to impose it upon students who may possibly have different faiths. If students and teachers really want to recite it so desperately, then just meet up after class or whatever you'd like, but don't push that stuff into classrooms. That way nobody is invading or insulting anyone else's beliefs.

Oh, and most "Judeo-Christian" philosophies can be found in the writings of many great thinkers who predate Christianity as a whole as well as the widespread popularity of Abrahamic religions.

Wasn't the whole "under god" thing added during the red scare anyway? I'm guessing they're able to make another revision or change.

I know this isn't the place to post videos, but it answers your question so well.

Why do so many self-proclaimed "movie aficionados" rag on Titanic?

I guess it's just kind of a throwaway bit of entertainment that got way too much praise. It just drags on but there's really not much content. Now, I'm not complaining about it being long (hell, most of my favourite movies are around 4hrs long), but it's really not an epic enough story to merit so much screen time. Once Upon A Time in America, though... now that's an epic poem in cinematographic form! :^:

I can recognise that Titanic was an achievement, though, in my opinion, not an artistic one. Credit where credit is due, I guess.

No.
What if he masturbate with an hiv infected needle?

What if he asks Ann the meth dealer or Jim the pimp to wank him off?

Edit: wait a moment that would still be relatively safe.... Wikipedia says its safe even if mouths are involved.... I shalt investigate further. Ok no, thats just gross.
