Any norwegions watch lillyhammer? If so, how do you feel about its representation of norway?

Jesus Christ, guy, learn the language you're supposed to be speaking.

I'm a Norwegian and I watch Lilyhammer. Much of it is exaggerated, Norwegians are not feeble, inept hillbillies. Think of it as an American audience-based interpretation of rural Norway.

Wat? Wat due u hav againts ma 'merican englush?

You understood what i asked, which makes it good enough.

I ask because im liking the show. I figured it was an isolated representation of just a few idiots, but wanted to see from a native what they thought.

The show is pretty amusing, im halfway thru season 2 now.

While it is exaggerated, that's not to say that a sizable demographic doesn't fit the show's stereotypes - This is true for any country, though. Enjoy the show. I know I did.

What's difference between psychopathy and sociopaths.

Psychopaths are born with temperamental complications like fearlessness or impulsiveness, resulting in an incompatibility with social norms and expectations, as well as risky behaviour. Sociopaths are born with regular temperaments, but their disorder is resultant from negative social factors (especially parental neglect and mistreatment) combined with (usually) high intelligence. Both are antisocial disorders, however. Edited by Black_MiD

When is coffee dangerous? I drank 7 consecutive cups one night and I became very weird.

My dad drank 14 once and had a mild nervous breakdown shortly after. I`d say anything past 5 is pushing it, honestly. I generally drink 2 or 3 espressos and 3 galões (one for each small meal) and I`ve never had any trouble with it.

How can one determine if they're a sociopath? How common are sociopaths?

How can one determine if they're a sociopath? How common are sociopaths? There are some online tests you can take that will give you a general idea on whether you should be concerned with it, but the best way to fully determine it is seeking professional advice. A common sign is a tendency for violence towards animals. True sociopaths are very rare, though (most say less than 5% of the American population). Edited by Black_MiD

What's difference between psychopathy and sociopaths.

There is no official definition of the difference between a psychopath and a sociopath, and some say that the terms are largely interchangeable. In fact, the The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) lists both psychopathy and sociopathy under the heading of Antisocial Personalities. Both psychopaths and sociopaths engage in similar actions and tend to have similar characteristics. The idea of psychopathy is older than that of sociopathy, and has a more defined means of diagnosis. Some differentiate between these conditions based on their proposed causes, but others disagree with this method, as the causes of both conditions are not definitively known. Additionally, both of these conditions are generally considered to be different from psychosis and Anti-Social Personality Disorder (ASPD), though these terms are sometimes associated with them.

Characteristics

Both a psychopath and a sociopath have a complete disregard for the feelings and rights of others. This often surfaces by age 15 and may be accompanied by cruelty to animals. These traits are distinct and repetitive, creating a pattern of misbehavior that goes beyond normal adolescent mischief. Both fail to feel remorse or guilt. They appear to lack a conscience and are completely self-serving. They routinely disregard rules, social mores and laws, and don't care about putting themselves or others at risk.

I'll have a rental car from a Friday through Sunday, my return flight is a Sunday night. So could pretty much do anything. They paid my way down and for the hotel but I extrnded it because I've never been to Miami and figured why not. Surprised there isn't much to do in early March there. How far are the keys? A few hours drive?

Depends on how far South you want to go. The Overseas Highway is kind of long. But it all fits in the "few hours" category. I think you can get to Largo in under an hour from Miami if you don't hit traffic, which you probably will. But a couple of hours is still doable. Miami traffic is heavy, and drivers there are kind of insane, but at least it's moving. More like Boston than D.C., but definitely has its own twist to it.

The best place in the Keys to just walk around and see things is Key West, but that's all the way South. That's at least 2 extra hours of driving from Largo. On the plus side, the drive itself is pretty fun. There are big chunks of the highway just built over the water. For diving, boating, fishing, etc., your best bet for value/price is probably on Islamorada. If you're into sea food, there are good places all along the drive. There are also bad overpriced places, so read the reviews first.

Alright thanks. I'll do that drive maybe on Saturday then sunday I'll do stuff in the city before the flight back. Any other recommendations?

Don't listen to K^2 there is plenty to do in Miami this time of year. Unfortunately you're coming when we've got a cold spell. Cold in Miami is like 50's, but it should be better by the weekend.

There's plenty of museums and whatnot, I think the boat show is going on still, so if your into boats... Obviously check out the beach, there are plenty of cool art deco places if you want some cool pics. If you want the trip, Key West is nice, but it'll probably be busy and this time of year expensive. Outside that, maybe the everglades. Take a tour, heck an airboat ride is pretty neat. Take a tour of Alligator Alley. If you got a few hours and a car I might suggest heading north to Cape Kennedy. They've got all sorts of tours and museums if your interested in the whole space thing. Oh and do yourself a favor and get by Lil Havana and grab a real Cuban sandwich or coffee.

Thank you looks cool. can you show me some links to airboat tour stuff?

It's a Colorado company, hence the South Park references. They make what I like to call the "Urban Log."

Some place that sells "Mexican food", I think. I've received death threats from a lot of people at school because I never ate food from there.

What's the best way to transport a 3-year-old if I don't have a car seat?

Do you have to drive? Because without a car seat, you shouldn't have a three year old in a car. Very unsafe.

My question: What is Thomas the Train's obsession with being "useful"? Is this an important British value?

Usually I just put him in the trunk, but I know it's illegal and I don't want to get stopped and searched. Where could I find a cheap used car seat?

And regarding Thomas the Choo-Choo, I like to picture a giant man who has encased himself inside a train and strives to be the best and most useful train possible. I think it's a value that he finds important on his own merit.

You can get cheaper car seats from used baby clothes stores and stuff, or craigslist or facebook groups. You need to get the age from the serial number though, car seats are considered bad after 6 years.

Why does Thomas the Train, a show for kids trying to protray good values, focus so much on how different steam engines and diesel engines are? And why do they make the diesels such evil bastards??
