I have a question myself. What is a "Closet Furry"? Just curious about it since i saw my name in the section "2014 Awards".

Someone who (secretly) is a furry.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furry_fandom

Damn man, dressing/acting like a animal? Thats gross af. Not sure why my name is there though? Even if i was a "furry" i'd act like a car :p.

You're acting exactly like a closet furry would. Especially the "furry" in quotation marks. I know who I'm voting for.

I know of bronies and furries, but are there any other lesser-known "subcultures" that are equally f*cked up (if not worse)?

No, that's just some of them, the only thing that makes someone a furry is liking anthropomorphic animals, basically humanoid animals. Fursuiting (dressing like an anthro) is done by a tiny amount of them. It's not messed up in any way, though it does attract a disproportionate amount of certain...people.

...and this kind of thing is why I can be voted for as well. That and the foxes.

Well, they're still technically different: tulpas and otherkin. I'm not gonna even try and describe them, but let's just say they're categorised by what are basically mental disorders. Edited by RedDagger

Is it normal that I'm almost 17 and I've never had a job? Pretty much everyone I know around my age has or had a job so I'm feeling a little pressured. I'm all for hard work, but I've never had a reason to get a part time job, so I've never bothered trying to get one.

If it makes you feel any better I barley work with my father and not in college. Never let people decide for you.

True story my boss and I were discussing furrys the other day how we got on the subject I don't know. He told me he used to have a employee that worked for him that was a furry they were eccentric to put it nicely I guess it got so strange that they came to work dressed in there costume.

Start with working and save up for that GT-R bro.

On a serious note, its sure is normal that you never had a job your only 17. If you dont have a reason to get a job atm than dont even look for one. You'll start with working when its time.

Serious question: does anyone actually use Google+? Actively, I mean? I see some people sharing Youtube videos sometimes, but that's about the closest thing to actual activity that I see or hear about. I mean, I don't think I know anyone who uses it...

Huh, here's a question...

...whats up with snip? What's that? What? What is snip? I mean, I know people put it on removed stuff, but... Snip?

"Snip," as in the sound a pair of scissors make when you cut something - in this case cutting a post.

Because it ain't nothing to cut that post off.

Lightning Lord is the Forum Expert on the "snip".
snip. Why does everyone enjoy pokemon do much? Personally, I think it's boring and I absolutely hate it. What's so enjoyable about it, guys?

careful my friend, that's blasphemy in this town

Well, they're still technically different: tulpas and otherkin. I'm not gonna even try and describe them, but let's just say they're categorised by what are basically mental disorders.

"Tulpa (Tibetan: སྤྲུལ་པ, Wylie: sprul-pa; Sanskrit: निर्मित nirmita[1] and निर्माण nirmāṇa;[2] "to build" or "to construct") also translated as "magical emanation",[3] "conjured thing" [4] and "phantom" [5] is a concept in mysticism of a being or object which is created through sheer spiritual or mental discipline alone. It is defined in Indian Buddhist texts as any unreal, illusory or mind created apparition.

According to Alexandra David-Néel, tulpas are "magic formations generated by a powerful concentration of thought." It is a materialized thought that has taken physical form and is usually regarded as synonymous to a thoughtform.[6]"

That sounds pretty awesome to me.

I'm pretty sure, Google+ was just a marketing ploy by Facebook to sell to MicroSoft for more money.

I have no idea how they pulled it off.

Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.

Are ants attracted to areas with open beverages? My room had an open soda in it for a few days with a minuscule amount left and now they're all over the place. not sure if it was that or something else.

Edit: Also of course ants are attracted to soft drinks, How doesn't someone know that?

Probably the sugar in the soda that attracted them. One ant spotted it and left a chemical trail for the others to follow.

No surprises there.

It's very popular amongst internet users, apparently. One forum I visit that isn't even related to tulpa has a 400-page discussion thread on it, and after further research there are many forums solely dedicated to it. It seems insane but also very interesting if you look at it with an open mind.

I've heard before that ants are attracted to some foods but not others, so I wasn't exactly sure.

The only difference between a "Tulpamancer" and that homeless guy downtown who rants about how he is friends with Jesus is an internet connection and a Deviant Art account.

If Tulpamancers are "insane" but get to have their own sentient friends of their own creation, then who wants to be sane? :p

How do you keep food cold when carrying it around? I have some leftover Dominos Pizza from earlier that I want for school lunch tomorrow. But how can I keep it cold and not let it go bad? I don't want to go to school tomorrow and microwave my pizza only to find out it went bad.

Something like this, coupled with a couple of ice bricks. It is like a soft esky.

Thanks. But right now, I kind of need something else. It's late at night where I live and stores that sell things like that are closed at the moment.

^^^

Fill up a bottle or two with water and chuck them in your freezer to make an ice pack/s then just put the frozen bottle/s and your pizza in a lunchbox or whatever other container you have in the morning, easy done

Just make sure you use plastic bottles, and don't fill them up all the way so they won't break when the water expands.

I have a couple of questions, is 2 jobs enough or too much for a YR12 HSC student(final year of high school) and how much is enough to live on for a week for a single person, i earn over 300 a week and i'm wondering just in case anything happens,if i can live on my own wages?

i did research on google and not many answers came up so i thought to ask here especially since most if not all have had the experience.

Can't really judge without knowing what kinds of expenses you'll be facing.

I'm going to assume that in this scenario you're going to be facing the usual kinds of expenses and living on your own (rent + utilities + food + whatever). In Sydney? Not a chance in hell IMO. Just as a barometer, the average rent for a 1 bed apartment in Sydney (outside of the City center) is like $1600 p/month.

Dominoes pizza won't go bad in a day. Or a week. Take it from a former professional drunk.
