No obvious choices either. :breadfish:

I used to listen to that song way too much, I don't think I'll ever be able to enjoy it ever again.

I am a little confused, because an obvious song is a popular song and that's what pop is. Popular songs.

I think you have the words pop and mainstream mixed up. :p By that logic, any new song that gets tons of views is a pop song.

Pop is indeed popular, but not all popular songs are pop.

Chris Brown Ayoo is quite good! Or Kid Ink Hotel. It depends what you want them for really. They are good party songs for when you're drunk. I never usually listen to them otherwise.

Not saying they are... All the songs we listed are pop (popular) songs. How can you have a non obvious popular song? That's what I am getting at.

Have some of Weird Al's parodies of current songs then, familiar-yet-new kind of style. :p

Spaghetti Cat

At least someone understand where I'm going. Wouldn't this arguably be tax payers dollars at work?

Yes, but working for things not supported by people with those types of beliefs. Right-leaning thought is generally less government, less regulations, less taxes, less everything except "freedom". Leftists generally are happy paying more tax in order to support more regulation, government programs and policies to help promote the general welfare.
I've been seeing these types of debates on facebook lately. I'm amazed how the GOP made over 50 attempts to repeal The ACA.

I'll give this a shot and try not to make anything political.

I didn't quote it, but you asked about universal healthcare. So the ACA is about mandatory insurance for everyone. Insurance doesn't equal healthcare, it's just a middleman. So were talking about a program that forces you to buy a product that you may not need, and does nothing to make you healthy. Forcing you to purchase a product goes fundamentally against the Constitution. As a side note, they call it a 'tax' thanks to John Roberts, may you forever burn in hell. (politics sorry sorry)

I was in the hospital yesterday as a mater of fact. Sinusitis yay! So I have no insurance (yeah come and get me irs) and had to pay out of pocket. Visit and medicine were just less than $200 bucks. Say I had insurance, most deductibles are quite high now, so I probably would have paid most of that anyways. Does it make sense to buy a product that you use rarely like I do? And yes I know this is mainly targeted at expensive hospital treatments, but the same deductibles apply. Some of them are in the $4,000 to $5,000 dollar range. In my opinion that isn't very affordable.

Now the claim made was that there were 30-40 million Americans without healthcare aka insurance. Last report I saw was about 8-9 million of those had signed up for ACA. So we've upended the insurance model in favor of bringing in 8-9 million people. A noble attempt, but not worth the high cost.

I don't think any sensible person is making the case for winner-take-all healthcare. We need a healthy society, even for the poorest amongst us. I think the argument is HOW to accomplish that. Mandatory insurance, provided at the expense of the American taxpayers isn't the way to get there in my opinion.

We should find ways to reduce the insane costs of healthcare (and higher education to roll into your other point). There is a lot of over expenditures and redundancy in the system. I believe as a result of insurance, but that aside. There is lots of layers of bureaucracy between the doctor and patient. I can't tell you how many forms I had to fill out yesterday. Part of that has to do with litigation. One way to reduce costs would be tort reform and the reduction of onerous regulations regarding the healthcare sector. That's where I'd start.

Now to the GOP side. One thing you need to remember is there is two factions in the republican party right now. You've got the leadership/establishment and the tea party. Tea party is kinda a misnomer because it isn't a political party, though it could be in the near future. I think a better team is Constitutional Conservatives. So you have the leadership of a political party that is more-or-less at odds with their base. The 50 votes that you talk about were show votes. Members could go back and claim that they are against Obamacare (sorry ACA) when they really weren't. That helped the establishment candidates fight off any primary opponents as well.

The only real challenge was during the government shutdown. Sens Cruze and Lee proposed funding everything except the ACA portion of the budget. Dems, who had control of the Senate at the time, balked at the proposal and hence the shutdown. The buckle came from the establishment side of the republican party. They didn't want the blame, even though they went on to win the senate...morons. So don't pay any attention to the show votes, follow the money. Congress has control of the purse, if they don't use that power, what good are they?

Sorry for the long post, hope that helps :^:

"Lovefool", "The Great Divide" or "Erase and Rewind" all by The Cardigans. Just a few I thought of.

Why don't stores such as Target and Wal-Mart carry gram scales? There are uses for them besides weighing out your weed. I searched every store in the county before I ended up finding one at Harbor Freight.

How would I display data on a line graph from both a control and an experimental group?

The professor wants the data displayed like this:

Figure1.gif

The difference is that the x-axis would represent temperature of water that goldfish are swimming in, while the y-axis would be the rate of gas exchange (gill movements) observed in a 60 second period. The four temperatures were 20, 15, 10, and 5 (all Celsius), with the control staying at 20C throughout the experiment. Understandably, each fish was measured four times.

In short: My dilemma is trying to figure out how to organize the x-axis so that I can create a line for the control group, because as it stands, I would only have a vertical line with four different points.

To add to Trip's suggestion: try some Hall&Oates. Great tunes, and intelligible, actually meaningful lyrics. "Sara Smile" is a nice place to start.

You don't really have a control here. You have four data points with error bars. Control is something you use to exclude a variable. Temperature is the only variable you're watching.
