What's the point in having nails this big?

Maybe he/she is a robot from Ghost In the Shell

But no, each to their own- everyone's entitled to their own opinion of how they look.

Is it possible to get a high paying job by going to a community college?

Is it possible to get a high paying job by going to a community college?

Define "High-paying". You can generally do better than with HS diploma, and it does improve your chances of doing much better. But your starting salary will still be closer to median than six-figure.

There is mouse under my oven that I cant reach. Ive decided im gonna suck the f*cker up with a vacuum cleaner then try and fling it into my toilet or something.

My question is am I missing something that could go wrong here? It seems like a pretty good and obvious idea to me but I wonder why I havent heard of people doing this before, Is it likely to get stuck and stuff my vacuum ad or something else im not thinking of?

What do you guys/gals usually do with a mouse after it's been sticky-trapped?

I was trying to get some of those today but turns out they are illegal here. Id put it in a plastic bag and smash it with a hammer or in a bucket of water weighed down with a rock or something.

You can make five figures working at McDonalds.

Five-figures is a very broad range, and doesn't necessarily mean "high paying."

That's what I usually do. I've considered being nice and pulling them off and letting them free outside, but the last thing I want to do is get bit. Usually I chunk them outside in the ditch, and let nature take care of them.

You usually don't get paid by how good you are at work but by how good you can bargain for it

Usually I chunk them outside in the ditch, and let nature take care of them.Me too. I'm afraid if I try to remove a mouse from a sticky trap, it'll bite me. Also, I don't like the idea of removing a mouse from a sticky trap because I keep thinking I'll rip it's legs off.

Don't just throw it outside to "let nature take its course". The mouse will struggle for hours/days (sometimes biting off its owns legs trying to escape) before it dies is starvation or exposure or what ever. Better off just putting it out of its misery quickly. Even though it's vermin doesn't mean it doesnt need to suffer longer than necessary.

Apparently tepid water will soften the glue enough that it will come off of you really want to release it but unless you take it drive somewhere fat enough it will probably just end up back inside.

So six figures is out of the question?

As a starting salary? You have a chance at 6 figures with a Master's in Finance from a good school. With a Ph.D. you have a bit more options in fields, but Finance is still your best bet.

Working your way up to 6 figures is possible with just about any education, but if you have the mental capacity and dedication, why not go for a full education? It's a bit more time consuming than some of the other options, but a significantly more reliable path towards a good career. And university education is good for broadening your view in general.

That said, if all you can get into right now is a community college, it's still way better than nothing. It'll probably help you get a better job, it will almost certainly help you figure out what it is that you want to do, and if you'll decide that what you want to do is continue your education, it'll make it easier to get into a 4-year school. Just don't think that a 2-year degree will be a magic piece of paper that lets you into places.

Well, besides killing a mouse, I don't see a significant problem.

Agreed. That sh*t sounds ridiculous. No, it's not "cute", it's not funny, it's just idiotic.

Is it possible to get a high paying job by going to a community college?

my friend was the head database developer for geico making 160k a year. all he had was high school diploma and certifications. but he is a computer genius

my other friend owns 2 subways and a jamba juice and makes about 250k a year and all he has is a high school diploma.

I make 65k no college diploma, my wife makes 87k no college dilploma either, but we are both certified in our positions

You can get to those levels with a HSD, but still you will need some type of higher education(certification) or money

What do you guys/gals usually do with a mouse after it's been sticky-trapped?

my dogs usually kill the mice for me, so i dont need the traps. i dont like them, they seem inhuman

Why used cars in the U.S. or Europe have the same price of a plastic furniture (a.k.a. cheap), while in here you still need to pay $7.000 for a 1993 Honda Civic?

Question: Is there a way for me to hide my likes\comments on Face Book?

Delete them? The whole point of liking or commenting is for other people to see it.

In some places in Europe. From what I have been able to tell in the past, cars are a lot cheaper in the UK than they are here and we don't even have to deal with crazy taxes like the Norwegians do. Edited by Andreaz1

I could do that but,Is there any other way because I don't want to hurt their feelings and want to keep in contact.

Well no there isn't ie you can't prevent certain people from seeing the likes/comments you've made. You could just send the person in question private messages instead if you're worried about others seeing your likes/comments.

Yeah, I haven't seen a single economy with used cars cheaper than the UK.

I attribute it to the high running costs. Wages are high in the UK so many people buy new cars (average UK car is 7 years old vs. 11 years in USA for instance), plus it means garage labour is very expensive making maintaining an old car an expensive endeavour compared to elsewhere.

Some other factors:

- Very expensive car insurance

- Cars must be insured throughout ownership (unless SORN'd for a long period)

- Smaller houses with few garages and driveways means only people who need cars keep them

- Low import taxes

- No protectionism (for instance USA has stringent import restrictions, UK does not)

- High fuel taxes (though not as high as some other EU countries)

- High urban population: almost 20% of the population lives in London where it is very inconvenient to own a car

- Lack of parking

Essentially it's a case of lots of supply and very little demand: those who can afford cars buy lots of them, but no one else wants them because of the costs and inconveniences of ownership.
