Is it allowed for me to ask for link(s) to the REAL Silva's fight vs Diaz on youtube? I'm trying to find something but all I see is f*cking trolls playing it on PS4 and Xbone...

Just go to goggle and type in keywords followed by youtube and you might find it.

It might take some keyword tweeks before you find it but you'll eventually find it.

I just read the ending, finally completed the book 1984, for some reason quotes aren't working properly on my phone so I'm replying to whoever was in discussion.

I believe Winston died in both respects, the bullet through the brain (right at the end) and the party won, very disappointing.

However, did Winston ever get released from the ministry of love? Or had he simply hallucinated the whole period after his release? Like the white chess pieces always won.

I'll quote the last few paragraphs from the book.

A shrill trumpet call had pierced the air. It was the bulletin! Victory! It always meant victory when a trumpet call preceded the news. A sort of electric thrill ran through the cafe. Even the waiters had started and pricked up their ears

The trumpet-call had let loose an enormous volume of noise. Already an excited voice was gabbling from the telescreen, but even as it started it was almost drowned by a roar of cheering from outside. The news had run round the streets like magic. He could hear just enough of what was issuing from the telescreen to realize that it had all happened, as he had foreseen; a vast seaborne armada had secretly assembled a sudden blow in the enemy's rear, the white arrow tearing across the tail of the black. Fragments of triumphant phrases pushed themselves through the din: 'Vast strategic manoeuvre -- perfect co-ordination -- utter rout -- half a million prisoners -- complete demoralization -- control of the whole of Africa -- bring the war within measurable distance of its end victory -- greatest victory in human history -- victory, victory, victory!'

Under the table Winston's feet made convulsive movements. He had not stirred from his seat, but in his mind he was running, swiftly running, he was with the crowds outside, cheering himself deaf. He looked up again at the portrait of Big Brother. The colossus that bestrode the world! The rock against which the hordes of Asia dashed themselves in vain! He thought how ten minutes ago -- yes, only ten minutes -- there had still been equivocation in his heart as he wondered whether the news from the front would be of victory or defeat. Ah, it was more than a Eurasian army that had perished! Much had changed in him since that first day in the Ministry of Love, but the final, indispensable, healing change had never happened, until this moment.

The voice from the telescreen was still pouring forth its tale of prisoners and booty and slaughter, but the shouting outside had died down a little. The waiters were turning back to their work. One of them approached with the gin bottle. Winston, sitting in a blissful dream, paid no attention as his glass was filled up. He was not running or cheering any longer. He was back in the Ministry of Love, with everything forgiven, his soul white as snow. He was in the public dock, confessing everything, implicating everybody. He was walking down the white-tiled corridor, with the feeling of walking in sunlight, and an armed guard at his back. The longhoped-for bullet was entering his brain.

He gazed up at the enormous face. Forty years it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden beneath the dark moustache. O cruel, needless misunderstanding! O stubborn, self-willed exile from the loving breast! Two gin-scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother.

Hmm, I am pretty sure that

his release is real and that the only fantasy in those paragraphs is that of his execution. He even meets Julia on the street and we are told of their physical scars and such, remember? Also, take notice of the phrase "gin-scented tears", meaning that he really was at the café drinking.

It has become a circle jerk for tinfoil hat conspiracy nutcases. What's that, something for which we don't have an immediate explanation? Must have been the aliens!

Or they are pretending to be Bi/Lesbian to try and talk to girls who only want to talk to other girls.

That happened a lot on AOL don't know about now though

Not much of a world wide web, but we had AOL, Netscape and locally in Boulder, OneNet. I was on all the time chatting and downloading single porn images, line by f*cking line.

I remember when I downloaded a trailer for "The Mask" with Jim Carrey, took a few hours, the trailer was about 30 seconds and a tiny window (akin to the size of our avatars here) but god damn was I excited. It was like a tiny, short TV show on my COMPUTER!! What???? CRAZY!!!!

Now we have smart phones.

Oh they do, where else are you going to get your gloryholes?

Yeah... those pictures... now the internet has ruined me, I don't think a picture would ever be enough anymore. The first porn I looked at was a playboy we stole from my friend's dad. He had them all put away in a lockbox in the top of his closet with a note on it stating "Destroy in the case of the death of Terry."

Yeah right...

I wonder if my son's first porn experience is going to be something awful and hardcore, like bukkake, or fisting or throating.... the future is nasty... and my spellcheck is going crazy.

Well, as an example, one recent post was simply 'Xenophobia?', and I noticed two people--whom I like and stuff--liked it, but then withdrew their likes. My feelings are p hurt, but I'm thinking it's just the avatar.

To attract more attention to themselves.

Sort of related: I remember a while back, I changed my Runescape character to a female character model. I managed to get a decent amount of gold(Probably 1+ million back when that was a lot) and rune/gilded armor "dating" high-level guys. You'd be surprised at how much more attention you get as a female than as a male on the internet.

Kinda freaks me out. I liked the flag themes you had going in the past.

Sometimes when I'm Liking things, the server has one of its hangups and it doesn't happen immediately so I re-click it, and by doing that the server catches up to itself again and thinks its an Unlike so its removed. So it could be one of those mistakes, where it has happened without their knowledge.

Or... they Like the post but not enough for it to use one of their daily quota so just Like it quickly to show their appreciation and then Unlike it so they can use it for something else :p

Or... they Like it but don't want their friends to know they actually agree with your posts.
