Cherry-picked examples != trend.

True, and I didn't mean to generalise. It just sounded like K^2's comment was putting down anyone who didn't think much of university as ignorant or dumb, so I thought it would be appropriate to present some examples of honourable men who skipped university and still proved to be geniuses.

Is there a connection between irritability, being easily agitated, and

  • Being fat?
  • Eating unhealthy foods?
  • Eating excessive amounts of food?
  • Not getting enough sleep?
  • Seasonal depression?
  • Having a lot of responsibilities?
  • Having high expectations to oneself from oneself and others?
  • Having a lot of work to do?
  • Living in poverty, compared to those with whom one congregates?
  • Being in a 2-year (sexual) dry-spell?
  • Having no outlet for one's passion?

These are things that are a big part of my life and that bother me, but first and foremost I'm upset with how extremely easy it is to agitate/anger me. I get furious for absolutely petty and trivial things. I have terrible road rage. I often discourage people, and always expect the worst. I'm never optimistic about the future, and bitter about the past.

Could this anger and pessimism be connected to anything in the list? Answers appreciated.

@Marwin, I'm not an expert on this, but I think the sexual dry spell, stress derived from your responsibilities, lack of sleep and seasonal depression may be the major elements causing your irritability and unease. I don't think diet plays a huge part in it, although it might contribute.
My best advice is to try not to let yourself become too mentally exhausted with work-related matters, get a healthier sleep cycle and, of course, some pussy will help :p

Why is labor cheaper in foreign countries?

I'll give context here. I saw these Chinese workers being interviewed about their cheap labor for Walmart. They said, "the products you buy come at a price of our blood, sweat, and tears."

There was a slide that said:

"price of factory worker: $0.18 per hour"

"Price of toy in walmart: $14.97"

Can anyone explain what this means? Why are Chinese forced to toil for little pay while we pay that type of money for our goods?

Not trying to be funny or oblivious. This is just something I NEVER understood.

Your question was worded in an incredibly bizarre way.... honestly, I use mnemonic devices, like "L is for Left" or "Righty tighty, lefty loosy" even for school stuff, dates, species, etc.

In London is it better to live in a Townhouse, flat or house?

I am looking for a place but I don't know how or where to start what things do I need to think about? What is better in the long run say 12 months? A townhouse sounds good becuase its quieter than sharing next door to flats I would assume or is a house better?

If it's a relatively new build, probably a flat.

Townhouses have mostly been converted to flats. They're like actual flats except noisier.

House will probably be a house share unless you're either able to spend £3k a month or want to live in a bit of London that's usually on fire.

Why is labor cheaper in foreign countries?

Part of it is to do with the cost of living being lower, which means that individual who are paid considerably less in real terms can (potentially) have an equivilent standard of living to people elsewhere in the world paid much more.

But, in reality, it's mostly because governments and companies in the third world tend to treat their citizens/employees as expendable resources, have lax laws regarding minimum wages, living wages, working hours and worker safety, and are generally just pretty nasty.

I'm having a hard time remembering a word, its the word used when referring to the cold war arms race, as in this word means "if we get a bomb, they'll build a bigger bomb. We build a tank, they build a bigger tank. We make a nuke, they make 10."

Anyone think of the word? I keep thinking "acceleration" but that's not quite right...

"Trumping"?

No... it's super specific and much older than Trump's cultural significance.

No, that one is close, it's ALWAYS in my mind when trying to think of this word. I've only ever heard in in reference to the cold war, or gangs (using the cold war as an analogy).

That's what it is... but there is a different word. I've been stuck on it for a week.

College and University are myths in many ways.

A lot of people with little education to speak of think that way. We generally let them.

and then we send them off to flip burgers.

The only thing I can come up with right now is "outgunning"? I'm at a loss...

Yeah, but the funniest thing is that the people who support the view that anyone who isn't a college graduate is only good for flipping burgers will probably be off to flip burgers themselves, with the added knowledge that not only did they spend thousands of dollars and some years reading manuals that are publicly available for pennies (in comparison), but also that they put down someone else and then ended up just the way they described. But, hey, at least they'll have that degree, huh?

Ever since I started working out I've only felt better. I find it much easier to remain calm, and the pumped feeling during exercise is euphoric. You should start working out right away, get a gym membership, it helps.

Only word I can think of that would fit and hasn't been mentioned is escalation.

Most people go to college and still don't get an education, sure. But if you think you can receive a good education without going to university, you obviously don't have one.
