Will beige/tan sport coats or field jackets look weird on a really pale guy with dark brown hair? I wear mostly navy and other dark colours to suit my cool complexion, but I was wondering if it'd be okay to wear a beige field jacket.

You know, I've wondered about that for years... Doesn't make a bit of sense to me. I guess gifting somebody actual cash is seen as socially indelicate and people don't want to waste too much time selecting actual gifts? But I don't know, man, I imagine it's pretty annoying to be stuck with a gift card from some shop you don't even like...

Trouble on board the ship

On a cold day in January the one hundred and eighty meter long cargo vessel “MS Ocean Prince” had just arrived in the port of Southampton. She had arrived from Amsterdam carrying a cargo of cars and trucks. The crew where unloading the cargo and re-loading the new cargo onto the vessel which included over one thousand eight hundred cars and over six hundred heavy construction vehicles and equipment. The next day the vessel was preparing to depart Southampton bound for Germany it was a cold January night and the crew where preparing for departure.

The crew members were reading about a recent incident about a cargo vessel that had capsized of the north east coast of Scotland the flowing day. She was heading for Runcorn UK. Unfortunately all eight crew members had lost their lives. Back on the Ocean Prince one of the crew members was very concerned about this recent incident. He was a new crew member on board the ship but the rest of the crew member’s reasoned him that everything would be alright and that there is would be nothing to worry about but unfortunately this wouldn't be for very long.

At precisely 8.00pm on a cold January night the vessel cast off from the Southampton docks. As she slowly moved out of the docks with the low rumble of the two engines powering up and the water churning below she headed out of the docks with the Spellcheck assistance of four tug boats everything was going smoothly so far but not for very long. On that night there was a pilot on board to help assist though the busy shipping channel.

She slowly crept up the channel at a speed of six knots the captain listened to the advice of the shipping pilot that was on bored who told him to keep the speed down because thither up the channel there where military divers disposing of an old WW2 bomb that was on the sea bed. This made the new crew member even more nervous but again the other crew members told him that there was nothing to worry about, But none of them were aware of what was about to happen.

As the ship passed the divers the pilot gave the all clear to increase the speed. The captain increased the speed of the vessel to ten knots. As she headed towards the channel entrance everything seemed normal. The pilot was just getting ready for the pilot boat to come and collect him off the ship. But suddenly the fifteen thousand ton ship carrying over one thousand vehicles unexpectedly started to list to the port side the captain started to get very nervous as the lean on the ship started to get ever more violent they started to panic because he was in fear that the ship would capsize but the pilot quickly went into action, he told the captain to beach the ship on a nearby sand bank to prevent it from capsizing completely.

The captain turned hard to port he was struggling to stand up as the ship was almost on its side but just as the ship as about to completely capsize the huge vessel hit the sandbank with a thud the ship vibrated violently as it traveled up the side of the sand bank, But fortunately the ship came to a rest. Thanks to the quick actions of the captain and the pilot on board they had managed to save the ship just about. But now there was the task of getting the crew off the unstable ship also the daunting task of trying to salvage such a huge ship that was right in the middle of one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes.

But it's luck of the draw on how bad internals are.

But it's luck of the draw on how bad internals are.Sorry for the late reply but I'm just gonna take it to a repair shop and see if they can get it to work. They'll probably end up making me buy a new screen.

Nick1020, you'd be better off just getting a new or used phone. That thing is likely not salvageable. And if it is, it'll likely be more trouble than its worth.

It's a $100 gamble for parts and not his phone though (the person wants $20+ for it), it's a lot of cash, a lot of effort and a lot of risk for something that could end up being a dead brick.

Dark green it is I've actually had the idea of getting a field jacket for years (dat Taxi Driver influence), but I've always been put off by this issue.

Correct me if i'm wrong but didn't you just ask yesterday about this phone and say the lady was asking $20 but you were going to try and get it for $10?

If you had gotten rabbies from that dog the effects would've started happening within 2-3 days after being bit with full effects after 10 days.

What are the effects of rabbies on a human?

Symptons The first symptoms of rabies may be very similar to those of the flu including general weakness or discomfort, fever, or headache. These symptoms may last for days.

Disease prevention includes administration of both passive antibody, through an injection of human immune globulin and a round of injections with rabies vaccine.

 

Once a person begins to exhibit signs of the disease, survival is rare. To date less than 10 documented cases of human survival from clinical rabies have been reported and only two have not had a history of pre- or postexposure prophylaxis.

 

Effects:Rabies is a disease that strikes mammals and affects the central nervous system. Its ultimate effect is to inflame the brain. Once rabies reaches the brain and spinal cord there is no vaccination or treatment available. It usually takes rabies within 10 days from the initial contact to reach the brain and spine. During this small window rabies may be treated with injections and medications.

Aside from what Troubadour posted, there's also notably immense pain in the throat when trying to swallow, including saliva, making it almost impossible to drink. It often also results in hydrophobia, the fear of water.
