Is it still childish to like Hot Wheels cars? I think the amount of detail that goes into them shouldn't be tossed off as a kids toy, but that's just me. Anyone else?

I'm 19 years old, and I still play with Legos if that makes you feel better.

Dude legos are bad ass....I wonder if my legos are still in that toy box.

The thing is so big and there is still tons of stuff in there i haven't gone though yet, I built a neighborhood out of legos when i was a kid.

Being a dad means you can play with toys and not be looked at weird.

That does, because I still do.

Here's an interesting article I read alittle while ago about a designer of Hot wheels:

I haven't played with Legos for years, but I will say that they are some of the brilliant toys ever made.

I wonder how many people looked at a piece of wood or something and though about something like legos but than said....Nah nobody will want that

And they couldn't have been more wrong! :) Seriously, such an awesome toy—perfect for exercising creativity and architectural and mathematical thinking. Brilliant in its sheer simplicity.

I didn't really have lego. I had KAPLA

"The idea behind Kapla developed around 1988, when the Dutch art historian and antique dealer Tom van der Bruggen moved to France in search of an old castle to restore. During renovation, Van der Bruggen was inspired by the original wooden beam design of his old farmhouse and used small planks to fashion a scale model of the castle of his dreams. Those small beam planks became the game KAPLA. The name Kapla comes from the Dutch term for "gnome planks", Kabouter Plankjes."

-snip-

That's pretty cool. When i was younger i had a talent for building things out of Popsicle sticks.

My dad and i built an entire 2 story house with attached garage with full interior and divided into rooms.

Some lady bought who was driving by while we were outside working on it and she turned around and pulled into the driveway and was asking us questions and she offered us $2,000 for it once it was done.

Now i kind of regret letting her have it since it was the last project he and i got to do together before he passed

Holy sh*t, that is awesome! I don't remember having those when I was growing up, though :/

@Troubadour
Heart-warming story, man. Your dad sounds like a really cool person :)

Do you guys remember those little Lego cars that you had to put together piece by piece? They came in a small box with the lid shaped like a car wheel... My dad and I used to do them. The Charger is still my fav :)

What does AMF stand for? Is it Anti-Muslim Fellowship?

I was certain that it stood for "Anal Milk Farts."

Question: Are there any countries where VHS is still a popular format? As in people still actively sell, and perhaps produce, movies in VHS format?

Can you please explain what led you to understand AMF as an acronym for, "Anal Milk Farts"?

Maybe "popular" isn't the best word for it, but North Korea still sees a lot of boot-leg VHS use.
