Why not head overseas, Driftland UK started in 2014 and even though I'm four hours away it's good enough for me. We have Fish and Chips and all your fast food comforts, what could be better? Oh yeah and the politics is a slightly bit better but only slightly.

This question is based on what I've seen in movies and video games:

 

How can someone possibly die instantly by getting shot in their mid torso, even when the firearm can be considered rather weak compared to sniper rifles and machine guns?

Im no ballistics expert but here I go

REASONS:

movie. Increase the action

game. game balancing

 

Its not the gun (IRL) that determines damage, its the round. If a bolt action and a semi auto rifle use the same round and shoot at close to the same muzzle velocities, they will have similar results

 

Weak hearted individuals continue no further

 

 

All assumptions are on some battlefield of some sort with no immediate access to any modern medical technology

puncturing a lung (or both) will result in a fairly quick death

puncturing the heart will also result in a quick death (not instantaneous) due to massive blood loss

puncturing the neck, there are 2 outcomes of death. Hitting the main vein/artery will result in massive blood loss and death. Hitting the spine will result in instantaneous death as you separate the brain from the rest of the bodily functions

Headshots. hitting the brain, most likely an instantaneous death (there are some cases where people have lived, even without a helmet or protection)

hitting the upper spine will most likely result in instantaneous death (separation of the brain from bodily functions)

hitting the guts (stomach, intestines, etc) can result in death if punctured too many times and if the victim does not seek medical attention fairly quickly

hitting any other large artery or vein will result in massive blood loss if not taken care of

Here's something that's been bugging me at work today - why are people proud to be white, Irish, black, french, etc. when it's not really an accomplishment but rather just fate/chance? If anything, you should be proud for achievements, such as getting into a certain school or signing up for the army, just something that you're not born into.

Humans like to be in groups, and they like their group to be the best of all the groups. So they are proud of weird things, as long as a bunch of other people are also proud of it.

I've lived outside of DC and in Daytona, FL and all I can tell a non-American about America is that only the morbidly obese folks & crazyass gun nuts live mostly in the south and Fox News isn't as widespread as what I've heard non-Americans say. Only about 1/4 of folks watch it, assuming the remaining 3/4 watch NBC, CBS, and ABC.

 

Many cars here are automatic, which is good because I cannot drive a stick to save my life. Gas prices are going down too, and that's good.

I don't know what everyone says, but I'll give you a snapshot view from the negative; people go broke when they are sick, our congress is at a less than 10% approval rating but because people don't get how it works, congress people have a 95% recidivism re-election rate. People are more concerned with keeping the ability to own guns than they are in keeping police from using guns on the citizens and our pets. We are controlled to a sickening degree by corporate interests (reference our health care system and why it won't change), our government is hated and reviled world-wide for very understandable reasons, we pass laws to keep the Muslims from taking over with their Sharia Law while also passing laws allowing the 10 Commandments, of the Christian Religion, to be displayed in public places with the assistance of public funds despite our "separation of church and state". We let white ranchers point rifles at our police and refuse to leave public land to the sound of general applause, while protesters of all colors are pepper sprayed and assaulted for peacefully protesting state violence and decry them as hooligans.

 

But, we have legal weed in 4 states, are home to the worlds best skiing, landed on the f*cking moon, our President is black (by American standards), and we make good movies and even better fast food. Oh yeah, we are the second fattest nation on earth (Thank GOD for Mexico).

 

But, I would trade all the good for some of the socialist nightmare that our politicians keep warning us about... I'd rather see this place change, but I'm willing to jump ship if need be.

Although being proud of skin colour doesn't make sense, they're proud of the culture and history behind their country or the like, as it's a part of their person. It's common for people to personally relate to things done by others in their 'group' (e.g. winning sports), because again, it forms a part of their identity. Pride can easily come from things one has had no hand in doing.

Lol I have noticed that too, another odd thing I've seen at my city's main hospital ER is the safe surrender signs for giving up babies are all placed on the walls hanging directly above trash cans... Pretty subtle, but macabre as f*ck.

I have the opposite problem. My left is a little lower than my right. Pretty sure it's normal though. My dick also leans a tiny bit to the left side, but it's nothing too noticeable. Everyone has little details that separate their genitals from everyone else's. Diversity is a good thing, imagine if everyone's...parts, were exact clones

 

But in short, I think it's pretty normal. Nothing to worry about.
