I watched a show where scientists where able to "teleport" atoms. the theory behind it is each atom has a second atom which is connected via an invisible link, and they use that link to teleport the atom.

found a source for you to start your own research :)

edit: I phrased my answer wrong. it doesn't teleport the atom but rather creates a replica of the atom. the original atom is destroyed in the process.

How common is it for someone to have two uvulas? Does anyone here have it or know someone who has it?

What a weird question lol.

Having more than one uvula is extremely rare and I doubt anyone will know someone with more than one.

Having a split or bifurcated uvula is much more common and is seen mainly amongst patients with cleft palates and other similar abnormalities. The numbers vary around the world with different ethnic groups, but about 1% of the population of the uk have this.

Oh. I only ask because my ex-girlfriend has two uvulas, but I don't think she was ever born with a cleft palate.

ALMfSuw.jpg?2

That's definitely a bifurcated single uvula rather than 2 separate ones.

From the pic I can see she has no cleft lip or palate, although a bifurcated uvula is almost like a very mild cleft. You can think of it as a cleft that thankfully didn't reach the rest of the mouth.

Question to any resident DJs. Anyone point me in the direction of a decent strobe light suitable for a small pavillion? It's a one time gig, so i want to spend as less as possible. I won't be using a overhead setup, so it will have to be on a flat surface. I would love if it's sound activated too. Thanks!

Yes. I would imagine so Im sure the ban button appears under their usernames even when logged in. Theres no reason why it should not be there.

I watched an episode of James May's 21st Century or whatever it was called where he talked about teleportation. As you say, scientists have done it with photons I believe he said, not whole atoms, though I'm not sure how old this episode was. To be able to "teleport" something like an atom, the teleporter has to know every single property of that thing so that it can be recreated at the destination in the correct fashion, and that's a massive amount of information for just one atom. He said that the sheer amount of information that would be needed to transport every atom in a human would take 15000 years to download using the fastest internet connections we have today.

Don't know about IPB but on VBulletin banning yourself is possible, not sure about permanently.

I genuinely cannot swallow pills/tablets.

I've tried EVERYTHING, and yet I still cannot seem to get them to go down my throat willingly.

Advice?

Grind then up and snort them.

Put them up your arse.

Grind them up and dissolve then in juice.

All of the prior suggestions technically work but I would only advised the latter.

I always find it weird how some people struggle to swallow tablets. I remember when I was younger my school friend asked for a tablet for his headache so I gave him a couple of paracetamol and watched as he threw them in his glass of water and waited for them to dissolve. Only they didn't really dissolve at all and then my mum walked in and he was quite nervous and shy around adults, so he quickly tried to drink them both in case she thought he was wasting them. Anyways he ended up coughing and nearly choking on them and spat them out all over the kitchen floor.

They're tiny little things, it's not like you need to be an expert sword swallower with no gag reflex.

Are there any really cheap airlines that fly out from Orlando to Denver? I was looking at Allegiant Air for the cheapness but they only fly from Orlando to Colorado Springs, and that's a longer ride to where I'm staying once I land in Colorado. I've been looking at Spirit airlines for $185 but if anyone knows any airlines that're cheaper, that'd be great.

Try wriggling your toes when attempting to swallow.

Sounds stupid, but it may just do the trick.

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

A more concrete answer was published by the Associated Press in 1988, which reported that a New York fish and wildlife technician named Richard Thomas had calculated the volume of dirt in a typical 25–30 foot long woodchuck burrow, and had determined that if the woodchuck had moved an equivalent volume of wood, it could move "about 700 pounds on a good day, with the wind at his back"

Some people have a bad gag reflex and some people have the notion of needing to swallow something without chewing is hard for them to do and they can psych themselves out and no beable to swallow them.

I can take medication without water but depends on the size.

Have you ever taken Amoxicillin? an antibiotic? One of the doses come in a big pill that is almost impossible to swallow without breaking in half or grinding it and putting it in water..

Amoxicillin%20-%20Clavulanate%20875-125m

Have you tried Frontier Airlines? I know they fly from Denver to Orlando and only cost around $140-$160 per round trip ticket

I haven't seen them yet, but I checked and they're flying out the date I'm looking at for $130. Thanks!

Don't know but there was a report released last week that Doctors have said when Justin Bieber had his boyish haircut with the bangs and all the boys had their hair cut like his they reduced their chances of skin cancer because the hair was covering most of their face.

Nope. Dressing like a hipster still makes you look like a dick.

That's quite the paradox.

It is ironic that there are new hipster clothes being manufactured and labeled as hipster clothes.

So the color change might have to do with your browser I would imagine? It's definitely somewhere on your end at least.

I sometimes have difficulty... I usually always have phlegm build-up, sometimes making it difficult to swallow pills. They get stuck in my throat and slowly go down. Water sort of helps, but I have to drink a lot... I need to get it checked out, because I literally wake up with so much mucus build up and have to cough and spit it out, making a really disgusting noise. I bet this was too much info XD

OT: How the hell are trolleybuses practical? They're basically buses that want to be trolleys.

I find the extreme wireage especially at crossover locations to be very unsightly, but they actually practical.

Generally they're at their best in places where there is an abundance of cheap, renewable electricity, Seattle and Vancouver both draw power from hydro electric stations that make use of the Columbia river, San Francisco does the same from the O'Shaughnessy Dam, so as far as pollution goes a trackless tram is far better than a regular bus when renewable energy powers them.

Not to mention the decrease in smog throughout cities created by fossil fuel burning engines which is a major issue and detrimental to health.

The other great things about them are that they are very quiet unlike trams and regular buses, they are better on hills compared to your regular bus because electric engines have higher torque at low speeds, and tyres grip the road better than trams which have trouble on hills.

They beat trams in other ways like being able to pass each other, no middle of the road stops because they can pull to the kerb.

They're actually pretty great, the indiscrete wires are awful though.

Is it okay to keep your laptop plugged in when at 100%?

I used to do it all the time until I found out that when I unplugged it, the battery drained quicker than an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico.

I know it's tempting to keep it plugged in, though.
