I'm not sure if I agree with total decriminalization across the board. With the right setup, criminalizing some heavier drugs can make it easier to force people to get help. But these should be rather specific cases. In general, yes, I agree, decriminalization is the way forward. All that our current drug system does is cost us money and make criminals richer. It also helps certain people maintain political power, which is why it's not going away despite being a very obvious mistake.

 

Decriminalization and legalization of Marijuana that's going on throughout the States right now is a good first step. Hopefully, it will lead to Marijuana being unscheduled by the Federal government, and that can lead to a discussion on schedule of other drugs. A lot of these, even ones that should still be regulated, the States are much better equipped to handle.

I haven't used them yet, my parents confiscated them. But I've tried once weed before , and idk , being sober just seems so meh . Like I'm confused to as why being sober doesn't make life seem more interesting as opposed to when doing drugs. Like a lot of people love being high, but I rarely see people excited about being sober.

Most of my friends are pretty ok talking about it. I mean, it's not like, "Hey, how's masturbating going?" But if the topic comes up, it comes up. Nobody acts like it's not to be spoken about.

Here's what I did back in HS for soccer, started seeing killer results within like 6-8 weeks.

 

50 crunches

50 leg lifts

25 side leg lifts ( one on each side of your body)

And 50 ( I forgot what it's calleds) where lay on your back in your crunch position and move from side to side sort of like a wiggle.

 

And also running.

 

Make sure your calories consist of more protein than of carbs.

 

Also make sure you maintain proper form, or else you're abs will look all awkward.

I think it's just the right amount of taboo. I'm glad people don't like talking about it because frankly, having a conversation about it with my family or some shopkeeper isn't exactly on my list of priorities. Having a giggle about it with my chums is alright. Everyone else can keep away from that topic though as far as I'm concerned.

I mean, obviously if it's in good shape and what not, but is there anything else in particular I should keep an eye out for? If the board has a few scratches is it a big deal?

I've not been "out" anywhere, just away from all the stupid f*cking garbage that constantly excretes from your mouth, and not picking a fight, just responding to idiots (y'know, your type of people).

Does anyone here snowboard? I'm buying my first snowboard w/bindings for $75 off of craigslist sometime soon, but I'm unsure of what to check for. I mean, obviously if it's in good shape and what not, but is there anything else in particular I should keep an eye out for? If the board has a few scratches is it a big deal?

 

They'll always have scratches if they're used, I'd look for stress cracks in the deck, usually lengthwise where the bindings bolt on, also look at the bindings, look for any cracks or bad wear around any stress points, any moving parts, straps etc.

 

If there are any seized bolts/nuts, that can turn into a pain in the ass if you ever want to disassemble for any reason, so make sure it can be taken apart.

 

Another thing is the holes where parts bolt up, you don't want any of them too elongated, they should be as round as possible, but since it's used they might be a little stretched out where they bindings were mounted. It's really not a huge deal as long as they're not too stretched.

Nah. Scratches are normal. You'll make a few new ones as you snowboard. Cracks are very bad, though, so make sure there aren't any. Chipping on the ends could also lead to cracks. Besides that, check the mountings for the bindings and the bindings themselves if the board comes with them. And check the edges. You can, and probably will want to, sharpen the edges, but you want to make sure that they aren't too worn.

 

There's not really much to it otherwise. A snowboard is a pretty simple thing. You'll need one of the right length and flex for your style, but you won't really know exactly what you need until you start boarding. So get one with general recommended length for your height, and start practicing.
