Am I the only one that doesn't understand the whole North American Football craze? I'm not discriminating anyone who likes the sport. If you like it, then that's cool. Do what you like. But why do some people act like a bunch of maniacs and go absolutely crazy over it?

Because it's an incredible sport, and we just enjoy it. Obviously you don't, so you won't understand and I can't convince you of how great it is. For example, the entire world goes crazy for soccer and I think it sucks eggs. It's all just personal preference.

Yeah its just a cultural thing. Some people get very attached to their teams and it basically becomes part of their identity. It's the same exact reason Europeans go nuts and burn down cities over soccer games

Yeah, people go nuts for football teams here. Some will claim they're diehard fans, yet they barely even watch the game. It's essentially a battle between states for many of us. I was raised on it personally, so I've always been a big fan, but it's such a huge part of our culture that even non-watchers and non-fans get into it at least once per year. Plus, it's a great excuse to walk into a bar on an early Sunday afternoon.

 

As for the game itself, I really enjoy the suspense buildup between plays. Many of our friends across the pond will argue that it's boring and takes too long to get to the action, but I think it really provides a lot of prime time to squeeze out a pee or grab a beer and some nachos... It's the American way, isn't it?

I've gotten the cold lot in the past plus I have horrid allergies during the spring. My nose usually goes from itchy to runny during spring allergy season and when I say runny, I mean really runny. Like it'll drip 15 seconds after seemingly blowing everything out.

 

But I during those miserable periods, I never sniffed unless I absolutely had to. And whenever I did, I hated it because of the gross taste I got in my mouth as the mucus moved down my throat. I always carry tissues around when I know I'll have a runny nose. I wish some people would do the same.

Since when has blowing your nose been quieter than sniffling?

Ok, I'm going to sound like an idiot for this, but I decided to buy myself some Korean cosmetics as a birthday present to myself. My order totalled 80 dollars w/free shipping but I was reading the websites FAQ and it said the following..

 

 

In addition, if your order is returned to us unclaimed because you refused to pay customs duties, you will be held responsible for the original shipping charge, any import fees, duties and/or taxes incurred on the package. This amount will be deducted from your merchandise refund.

 

Erm...what does this mean? Do I have to pay extra fees when they deliver it to my house?? How much am I expected to pay extra? :C

I've never understood it, but that's cause I don't really like sports. I'm sure if you like sports it's a different story. Not just in America but all over the world with various different sports, there's just some quality about sports that makes people act like animals. I guess some people just have a super competitive nature. I say it's cool to be passionate about something, but when you start rioting and sh*t that's kinda crossing the line. At the end of the day it's just a game...

It says free shipping, which, don't quote me on this, should include any taxes/tariffs costs when the merchandise enters the borders of Canada. So basically for me in Alberta, anyways the rate is around 10-20% of the price which is about 10 dollars of tax to cross the border. You may possibly have to pay for this duty because in the quote it does specify that if you don't pay, it will be returned to the sender. I'd probably email the site to get better clarification on what you are supposed to do, as the free shipping may only be for FedEx or UPS.

Perhaps I should rephrase that. What I mean is if its possible to know too much information where it begins to affect processing and comprehension? Basically my question is more literal than figurative.
