A bitcoin's a bitcoin. The source of your bitcoins is traceable, but only so far as to show transaction from which it came from. Other than that, there are no "bad" bitcoins. So if you do in fact get some, you'll be able to use them same as any other.

 

I can't think of a benefit of giving away free bitcoins. He might be a miner, and generates bitcoins on transactions, but even then, he'd be generating less than he gives away.

 

It's likely a scam, but it wouldn't be in the bitcoins. It'd probably have to do with transaction or information you have to provide for it. Hard to tell without seeing it for myself.

I'm guessing you're talking about 'fun' spam topics instead of those designed for trouble? Either way, spam topics don't have a long lifespan on GTAForums. I remember seeing the realistic steak topic a while back before GTA V's release. That was something, but they always go down in the end.
