Pounder custom Discussion Topic

So i created this topic to talk about the Pounder custom. As we know this will be a deliver vehicle in sell missions. But something i want to point out is that this truck could potentially replace the Brickade in the CEO crates, or the regular pounder in Biker sells ? Other thing is that it has the front of the packer, this means that is possible to have a Packer MOC cab in the future ? 

I think that the vehicle wont have much differences ti the regular pounder, just like the phantom custom, but who knows. 

Talking about armor i dont think will be in the MOC level but at least the same armor as the stromberg (lets remember that the brickade explodes in one rocket)

Customizable in facility ? Most probable

That's the existing Pounder in the game. One can infer that a Custom version has the usual upgrades to armor and performance. Beyond that:

I only sell in solo sessions, so I don’t really care about having an armored transport vehicle. 

 

The Pounder is that short wheelbase 18-wheeler, right? Yeah, I have no interest in having another one

I mean I'll probably buy this if it's a Personal Vehicle, but I don't think anyone was asking for a custom Pounder

sitting around playing going, "y'know that big annoying ass beer truck that no one ever drives? I want a custom version of that"

Maybe because the MOC got so popular, they thought it was a good idea to add more armored trucks.

seriously though has anyone who has played this game NOT been blocked in traffic by an NPC Pounder at least once? f*ckin truck is everywhere

I'd like to notice that it is "Pounder Custom" and not "Packer Custom". Pounder is a daycab Packer that has box permanently mounted on it. That pretty much confirms that we won't be able to haul the MOC imo. I can see it few ways tho:

1. It will be a smaller, compact MOC, without some options like vehicle customization bay.
2. Dekotora truck. That being said, I think it would be pretty disappointing for them tp use US truck for it and not Mule that is perfect candidate for it.
3. Party bus/truck where you can have small party on the go.

Personally, I'm imagining a box truck armored up like the Hauler Custom. Big plow on the front and bars on the windows.

Considering that's the only vehicle in full-product sale missions that only needs one vehicle, that would be absolutely lovely.

Probably a new MOC. We can already store crates inside Avenger so I guess this will work similarly. But knowing R* the armor wont be as good this time...

I can already see it - you can store 3 crates inside but its kinda slow and it blows up after 1 or 2 rockets

That would be useful and yes worthed, but if it's just a meme truck that can go invisible/off radar/flies, then it deserved to get blown up over and over again, my khanjali and akula is ready

As the name suggests, this vehicle will be used to get supplys (booze and other equipment) to your night club. I would expect it to be heavily armored, feature a mesh window protection, bullet resistant windows, bulletproof tires, a mesh cover over the wheels as well as a big pushbar on the front (kinda like the group 6 stockade).

Like the vehicle above it would feature the option to transport multiple crates at ones.

It would also allow us to choose it as a transport vehicle when we are selling stuff from our bussinesses instead of using the regular sell option that leaves us with a random vehicle.

A Brickade 2.0 is exactly what i think this thing will be, we could use it to deliver things from our old business or to deliver goods to the vips in the nightclubs. Other possiblity is that "battle royale" freemode event, maybe we have to put our cargo on it, of that is the case in order to participate on this event we would have to buy the pounder custom or maybe we would be able to use the Brickade as well

I echo the 'mini MOC' sentiment. 

Probably bullet / explosion resistant (note: resistant, not proof) with option for proximity mines and a passenger controlled turret.

Maybe a scoop / plough on the front (hopefully not too cobbled-together like the P. Wedge, Technical Custom or Armoured Boxville, but with a similar mechanic). 

Obvious performance / cosmetic customisations. It would be nice to have an option for a livery to match your club / logo, but that would probably be asking too much. 

As for where it would be stored... THAT is something interesting to ponder. Fingers crossed for a large-vehicle garage / warehouse (and 'oh hi Pegasus customisation if you please'). 

Just spitballing in any case. Maybe it'll just be a flat-bed open-air party on the back.

I think we will have another place in the facility and just that. Not expecting anything spetacular like a place to customize pegasus vehicles.

Whatever the Pounder Custon turns out to be, I might still buy one regardless simply because the Pounder is one of my favorite vehicles in the game.

And yeah, the Brickade sucks, because it looks laughably conspicuous. Shame, because the style of the cab is really cool - but a regular box/trailer would have been far more appealing for me personally. To be honest I'd like another low-key customizable truck as the MOC Phantom cab is great and also really useful to boot. As long as the Pounder isn't just a vaguely Dekotora themed meme machine, i'm looking forward to the prospect of new commercial / heavy vehicles. 

 

Haulage is one of my favourite activities in GTAO. Throwing a Big Rig around the city at high speed is so much fun so hopefully I can do more of that

You're not alone! Honestly, if we were able to do that i'd LOVE it as I still like to pretend some of the stuff we do is legitimate business. I wish we could do the same to Rumpos, Yougas and Speedos... I recently found out that two out of those three have absolutely woeful custom options. 

 

I guess if we could decorate the sides with crew emblems we'd see trucks with genitalia, cannabis leaves and FREE CANDY all over LS though, with most people being super-amazingly-imaginatively-original and all.

I imagine there will be a livery paying homage to Smokey & The Bandit, and we'll be 'bootlegging' alcohol and other substances from one end of the state to our club / warehouse at the other end. 

Maybe a pickup of DJ equipment etc. from the club to an unauthorised beach party. 

Hell, if the memes have their way it'll sprout rotors and allow us to bring the rave to those hard working folks on the aircraft carrier (please no).
