This is a dumb post.  Anybody can stop playing any game, for any reason they feel like.  Keep that fanboy sh*t to yourself.  Maybe he is burned out on a very old game, maybe he doesn't like microtransactions and grinding, maybe he's into some completely different game now... why do you care?

So, I missed the mess the Next DLC Speculation thread turned into, officially #TunedOut until Rockstar announce Nightclubs properly and been doing a bunch of singleplayer games on their hardest difficulties or handicap runs.

 

Which of these two issues displeases you guys more?

 

- Rockstar only giving a teaser that simply shows off a lightshow inside a nightclub, instead of a more varied trailer, a bunch of screenshots and paragraphs of text that describe all the things we can get up to, while begging us to "Stay Tuned" each week.

- Rockstar not varying the event week bonuses this last month to make up for the wait, trying to push Smugglers Run really badly and cutting the Biker stuff down to 25%+, with no variation in the doubled opportunities, no Import/Export or Act 3 Doomsday doubled.

Don't really give a sh*t about either.  It's their game to market as they want.  I like getting hyped over an announcement or trailer, and I like a good event week, but if they don't happen I don't care.  I'll play anyway if I feel like it, or not, as the case may be; it barely affects my life at all.

Speculation does a better job of keeping the hype alive. What people can conjure up in there heads will always be better than whatever R* can release or the leakers can leak and thus will build more hype. Look at the Speculation topic, people were ripping each other apart and cannibalising their young over why it was "delayed"

I don't know about you but I get most excited when I at least know a bit of what is coming. When it was just Ocelot Swinger and some ugly MTL Pounder and other sh*t I didnt care about that we knew from Rockstar themselves, I was bored. When the leakers dropped Enus Stafford, Patriot Limo and some other things, then I woke up and the thread roared to life. If the leakers somehow found out about the full car list or some sh*t and started spilling the beans, this thread would be moving a page every 5 minutes.

To know the DLC is confirmed and teased to show that it's coming, I'm good.

 

Event weeks being more varied is something I'd greatly appreciate more, but the game won't change because of them. If I like what's on, I'll have at it. If not, there's just too much fun to be had somewhere that I don't care either way, lol.

Personally I'm getting tired of all the "dekatora trucks" thing people keep saying whenever the mule or pounder are mentioned. I mean I'm all for wild and crazy dlc ideas, but I seriously can't see decked out party trucks happening, especially when these are just glorified personal delivery trucks. I'll happily eat my words of course if I turn out to be wrong, but unless we see them in an upcoming trailer I can't see any reason why people think these could happen, seeing as it isn't a tuner dlc.

I feel like Rockstar's silence is for the bigger audience, not us the dedicated playerbase, why am I saying so? Yan was asked before about his sources, and he said that they won't get in troubles with Rockstar at all, so this whole leaking thing is controlled by Rockstar, they know him, they know he leaks, they give him info, and I guess they also tell him what to share and what to not share about it with us in here, the dedicated layerbase, maybe so we don't lose interest in the game, while they keep the silence for the bigger audiencen, they catch them off-guard with a DLC and they rack up some shark card cash that way, I'm pretty sure the majority of the players of this game aside from us over here didn't know that the next update's theme was going to be nightclubs until their teaser few weeks ago, I do think that their silence is not good, it works, yes, but in a terrible and pathetic way and they could go about this differently and still create some insane hype but that's a conversation for another day.

 

Anyways, I believe we'll get info from them tomorrow, but some leaks between now and the release on Tuesday won't harm.

Totally agree here. If they announced everything that is there, I'd still be keen... Possibly.

As it stands, I'm excited for cars and garage space. If they say there's no spaces added, my hype drops. But currently as it stands, they could add a 100 car warehouse for all I know.

I have about 77 mils saved up I was really hyped when I first had heard about the clubs. But Rockstar silence kinda has killed the hype for me. 

 

 

 

They aren't even telling us why is this update keeps getting pushed back if it's a game breaking bug why not just say it? I'm sure people would understand the situation and carry on with their day. But nope.. No word from rockstar. Just the same old stay tune for more info!! Crap.

Guest list rewards being extended to aug 7 and leakers/youtubers saying it was supposed to be dropped on the 17 might have to do something with that.

The update was rumored and they they finally announced with the guest list thing

I thought that it would get me to play GTA all summer and the guest list would be a great preparation event for the dlc

but no. Here we are, nearing the end of the summer with no official info from r* on the DLC other than the announcement trailer. The guest list? log in every week to get 100k and a sh*tty wireframe suit that's actually cut content from f*cking festive surprise. f*cking great

 

Hype is one of the most important parts in releasing a GTA DLC and rockstar really failed on it this time. The guest list could have been executed better, the f*cking event weeks could have been a lot f*cking better instead of repeating the same sh*t every week and they could have kept the update more relevant, fresh in our minds by dripfeeding small parts of information, like releasing one picture of a new vehicle every week on their twitter or something could go a long way in building hype

I agree about Yans leaks being controlled for sure.

 

A while ago I think BenDeR posted things that R* had sent them on GTANF that was to be shared with the forums.
