GTA Online: After Hours Coming July 24

How sick would it be if we could create our own franchise of nightclubs? Like own multiple nightclubs. Someone could name theirs Malibu Club West And make it a extension of the Malibu club from GTA Vice City. That’s a awesome idea. Another cool idea is that within our little community here, someone could make theres Malibu Club West and we could consider it the offical club. Basically role play. Oh please allow us multiple nightclubs rockstar, please.

Such a great movie! I can practically quote every single line of dialogue from the entire thing!

 

OT - Its not hard to imagine that some of those new(ish) trucks we're getting are gonna be party trucks, but I wonder, will we be able to do coke, molly, acid etc in them... or just alcohol? 

 

Or maybe they're simply for transporting partygoers from one club to another, and no drugs will be enjoyed... hmmm.

Its one of my favorite movies along with The Godfather but other than that I'm expecting the new trucks to be dekotoras. Especially the mule, its the perfect truck for it. Not sure on the drugs part but I'd say its possible, I do hope though that players can gather around the public nightclub peacefully and have a good time. I remember when lowriders first dropped people would just be outside Bennys having a mini car meet for like the 1st week.

Yesterday's newswire did leave me fairly sure the DLC is gonna be called 'nightclubs' and not 'nightlife', not that it matters.

They gotta have a better name than just Nightclubs. Maybe The Nightlife DLC or Los Santos Nightlife.

Wouldn't have high hopes regarding the name of the update when I think of how good imagination they've had with the event weeks lately..  Nightclubs seems about right to me  clubs or just update seems even more fitting

I just hope they won't add many weaponized vehicles, but if this DLC will bring "business consolidation" it's really hard to think they won't add some f*cking one-seated bike-looking fast as a shark aircraft with nuclear bombs, orbital cannon and morning breath to kill every player in session in a couple of minutes.

 

As for the rest, I think it's really cool to play the billionaire and capitalize all the money long-time players made by owning a nightclub. Hope they will bring some new cool clothes and things like that.

I was wondering that too. Although I keep it on so it doesn't effect me. But it would get old having to keep turning music up or down everytime. Maybe they will add a separate setting for nightclub music volume

Just turn on the music for a while and activate the custom radiostation. I play with music off too, because i rather listen to my 600 hours random playlist.

No such thing on XB1, but there's a background music player and I have a complete GTA soundtrack going back to 'Joyride' in there. Feels.

I’m really baffled that we haven’t gotten more drugs already. Being at the center of the whole criminal endeavour and the main source of income for most criminal organizations, also with GTA being an adult game with adult themes, I can’t see why they haven’t got a more central position already. We should be snorting, smoking, tripping our way through our criminal careers like any respectable thug would do. Not to mention all the cool effects/perks and drawback symtoms that would go along with it. But I’m starting to sound like a broken record on this topic.. It’s like making a game based on cooking and forgetting to add a kitchen. And no, the alcohol and bong isn’t enough. Any respectable junkie likes to do his own choice of drugs in any place of his own choosing. It might even breath new life into gang attacks - imagine shooting insane clowns or aliens instead of gang members because you’re trippin’ balls on LSD. That’d be something!

This is factual. I was arguing vehemently that R* wouldn't release that DLC before releasing additional info because they explicitly said "More info soon". Then they up and dropped the DLC without additional info. Humble pie is not very tasty.

I know at least two people that deal Weed and have never and will never touch the stuff. They laugh at the people that buy it.

I also know another guy through a friend that despises junkies and drug takers but deals hardcore drugs. Says they are just talking wallets to him.

I do expect drugs to play a part in Nightlife, if even just in the capacity of business consolidation.

@RyuNova and you are friends with these people? Sounds horrible. But, you're right. There are peddlers who don't do dope.

 

I know people that smoke weed to relieve neuropathic pain and that are in no way "junkies", and there are those that do it to cope with anxiety, stress, OCD, bipolar disorder, sleeping disorders. I also know (and to a further extent, know of) people who claim their experiences on psychedelics have been some of the most profound experiences of their lives, on par with becoming a parent.

 

I'd much rather be friends with someone who has an open mindset towards this stuff, than someone who sees people as "talking wallets". But that's speaking for myself, and now I've strayed waaaay off the subject here so I'm done for now!

Back on topic, I hope the Nightclubs - as has been stated earlier, have a sound setting on their own, as I, too, often have music down, yet don't think a silent Nightclub, and particulalry the dancing game that I firmly, firmly, am expecting, will be much fun without music. Visit the Vanilla Unicorn without music; that place is quite eerie this way.

No, I know the "talking wallets" guy through a friend. I know alot of people smoke Weed for different reasons but low level dealers deal to junkies. People who smoke it for pain want the good stuff so you go to more "respectable" dealers for that.

Well the music and announcer in the Vanilla Unicorn is tied into the global music settings so I would assume this is as well.
