I'm still kinda hyped for NCs, based on how little info the video revealed.

smugglers video had me Super hyped, then Ron called.

Still hoppings for breaking and entering, and if you have a bounty on ur head it won't clear inside a club, and npcs are kinda scared of ya.

Also, hope we get a creative reason to actually carry $$$$$ on hand.

I still don't get the hype over this, esp considering the 'hype' from previous dlc's (And the resulting actual 'presented' offerings)

I just figure it will be yet another bunker/mc business style thing(IE [pay 75k to refill supplies, wait x time to fill stock, sell stock around town, etc)

If not 'identical' to them, I still figure it will be based on the same blueprint they have used for most 'profit sources' the game has given us.

All I can say/suggest is to expect a LOT less than what you 'think' and then you can only be pleasantly surprised.

by now you should know not to treat each update like some game changing spectacle but another addition to the tons of content we had....the game continues to grow and I dont get how you can see a way to twist that into a negative

imagine you went into a coma right after the current gen upgrade then waking up now.....would be like 5 new games

the speculation is it will probably be an NPC partner. Possibly Tony or Luis from TBoGT. Speculation ONLY, no evidence to support it.

Unless Yan's strange "-588" leak(?) was indeed a reference to German Civil Code ("Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch") BGB § 588, a central piece of German legislation dealing with the lease of properties, particularly obligations between leaseholder and landlord regarding maintenance/preservation of a lease. :)

"a tidy way to keep income from your more seedy ventures with Disruption Logistics, The Open Road, SecuroServ and Free Trade Shipping Co. looking clean as fresh laundry."

This is quite ambiguous.

I'm afraid a bit of there only being a new computer in the Nightclub's office that simply offers links to all the networks mentioned if you log in as CEO or MC, but nothing else changed, which would save some players a bit driving around, but be quite a waste of potential in my opinion; or even worse it could be just a reference to the fact you are going to sink a lot of your profits from those businesses into your nightclub before whatever business the Nightclub itself offers, starts paying off.

I'm hoping this "business consolidation" goes much further, for example setting some businesses on "passive income", being reduced income in exchange to some select, less time intensive, "maintenance missions" similar to Story Mode's business model, to name one idea, of many, where this could go.

EDIT: Sorry, went slightly off-topic; then again, the official speculation thread has been talking spaghetti (literally); the world is upside-down.

I'm thinking about who will be our contact for these nightlife activities. Usually it's always someone we know from SP. I doubt it will be anyone from TBOGT. In gta v the only main character we know that actually runs a joint - strip club is Trevor. It would be fun to get the clubs mission from him, however in the setting of gtao 6 months before gta 5 he's still doing crack in his trailer so who knows. What are your types for our mission contact for the nightlife update?

The setting *was* prior to the story mode when Online first came out. But Agent 14 mentions it being 2017 in the gunrunning DLC, and there are newer songs on the radio. This suggests that the Online world progresses roughly in real time.

Assuming you've played since day one, you started out prior to the story mode, and each DLC marked a passage of time. Playing the heists and DLC missions in order of release explains how characters like Trevor progress, even though Rockstar tries (unsuccessfuly) to keep things ambiguous.

But then, how is Trevor alive? Story-wise, you can assume Option C was canon. Meta-wise, it's because Rockstar gave up on integrating the story and online modes long ago.

C is obviously canon

And in Online "Kill Trevor" is definitely not canon. He's confirmed to be alive and gone "Vinewood" thanks to Ron in Smugglers Run.

I said it before, but I'd love it if Trevor and Michael are VIPs we need to do missions for in this update.

The whole idea seems to be about a legitimate front for your business, stripclub is an option but I highly doubt that, as I said, I think that you will be the delivery resupply boy, acquiring needed stuff(booze, drugs) and running protection for a steady revenue over time due to customer count(increased by business costly improvements) - this model does make it reasonable to own several joints and swapping missions between them to keep them all stocked while they're making their revenue happen and ready to collect

The Sullinator

I feel like cost wise, people are right it's going to be expensive. But not in the way that we think.

I think the most expensive night club will be 3-4 million, plus a couple mil in the cosmetic upgrades, wall safe, lighting, dance floor design, wall design, etc

But where I think the real money is going to go is with other stuff, maybe similar to how biker business upgrades are. You pay an extra 1.5 mil to upgrade your staff, maybe you have to pay extra for valets, DJs, etc. I think that's all going to end up matching the price of the original night club purchase.

It might make your businesses run in some automatic mode, with lower income than if you had them in “manual” (which is what we have today).

Your nightclub would become the central hub of all illegal activities we ever had, as CEO or MC President, and these activities will generate money little by little, day after day...

Really hope this is the case.

A constant source of money to be generated, with possibly some way of generating more 'lump sums' with a cooldown, maybe host a big event where you'd have to source supplies, promote and arrange a DJ, bouncers etc which would then turn a big profit.

Imagine this:

You pay out/aquire the following:

  • Drinks - £10,000 - £30,000 (more drinks = better profit, and more chance of a successful night)
  • Security - £2000 £10,000  (more security = less chance of trouble)
  • DJ - £5000-£50,000 (better DJ = better chance of a more successful night)
  • Set a door price per entry - there could be a sweet spot based on your clubs "success/popularity" that would either bring in a big profit or scare away potential clubbers

Once you've done all your outlaying and set up, you let the event run (you can walk around in the club at the time and maybe even get a cash bonus for each player who comes into your club) and then at the end you get to see how much you made overall (money made could show at the bottom similar to heists, and go from a red minus figure (of your costs) to a green figure which would be your profit).

Each time you host an event your clubs reputation could go up or down

Sadly I think the nightclub mechanic will be far simpler than that, going off the way other modes have been played....

That would be awesome... if a little out of character.

Something to consider is how many bridges Rockstar have burnt when it comes to voice actors though. It's known that R* and Michael Hollick (voice of Niko Bellic) had a falling out due to money, hence why they haven't worked together again. There were rumours that R* had screwed over some of the VAs of the original GTAV cast or couldn't afford them any more ('gone Vinewood'), so that could rule out some single player characters.

As long as our nightclub contact isn't Cliffford, I'll take notice of whatever is released.

I'm just a bit afraid that if we get vehicles like mtl pounder custom it means - slap on an overpriced livery on the slowest vehicle in game to haul a truckload of booze across the whole map chased by infinite waves of aimbot killer bikers to fill one bar of your club's stock, rinse and repeat ;)

Maybe "gone Vinewood" was in reference to Ogg being too busy.

yeah I also took that as an reference that the voice actor is rly popular now (Better Call Saul, Walking Dead, Westwrold)

^ I hope they will feature on many iconic club eras, e.g. the 1920's, 50's, 60/70's etc, eras they were making references to in earlier DLCs anyway.

The neon stuff and the whole DJ thing is the main theme, no doubt, and the publicly accessible part in Bahama Mammas (if planned at all) goes that direction, too, of course. But I think overall we will have more themes than that.

... with the release of this new Nightclub DLC, it would be cool(and make sense) to have Rockstar add some new dance animations for our characters.

I wonder what weapons we will get.

I think its high time we got a P90 and a Stub Nosed Revolver (SNS Revolver) I would even go as far as to allow us to Dual Wield some of the weaker Pistols that are vastly outclassed by newer weapons. I would also like to see the ability to add full auto to the Pistols as well.

That’s how I see it. A text, every x in-game days, telling you “you earned xxx $ from your <insert what businesses you own> , drop the money bags at <insert random location> to get the cash”.

The earning amount will be depending on the number of players in your lobby and on the number of businesses you activated : someone with only hangar and bunker will have lower potential earnings than than someone with bunker, hangar, warehouse, and the full 5-labs series.

And maybe if your club gets some visitors then you’ll multiply your earnings...

Dual wielding pistols would make them worthwhile.

Personally, though? I'm hoping we get deeper customization of existing weapons. I'll take a MKII auto shotty over another SMG/AR any day of the week.

Twice the firing speed and ammo for twice the reload time I think is fair. Keeps them lower class weapons but raises them to actually be useful.
