I'm thinking about who will be our contact for these nightlife activities. Usually it's always someone we know from SP. I doubt it will be anyone from TBOGT. In gta v the only main character we know that actually runs a joint - strip club is Trevor. It would be fun to get the clubs mission from him, however in the setting of gtao 6 months before gta 5 he's still doing crack in his trailer so who knows. What are your types for our mission contact for the nightlife update?

I doubt it will be Gay Tony and the guy that voices Yusef might be a bit expensive for a few repeated lines. I think it will either be Luis or the guy that was the Bouncer at Maisonette.

Another thought, might have been mentioned but could this be the last major update for GTA Online now that RDR2 is so close?

If they are letting us streamline/control our businesses from the Nightclub perhaps thats a subtle way of telling us the well is running dry but they want people to keep playing so they are making it easier.

I see countless possibilities.

Lopez (from GTA IV), Trevor, Lester/LJT, Madd Dogg (GTA SA), any dude from the Vercetti clan (GTA VC), ...

@Sanches, Wouldn't that be something? I remember the aftermath of the Love and War update was one of the most fun times I've had in TF2. Every server I played in the days after was just a conga party. I would be so happy to see GTA Online have such a social break in the grinding tedium, though I am betting on it being a lot more low-key than TF2's crazy comical conga. Hoping the dance floor will be packed!

On the topic of Tony turning back up for this DLC, I'm of the party that figures he will. The central NPC in the last few seconds of the teaser certainly resembles his appearance in The Ballad of Gay Tony, and, as I mentioned previously on the Next DLC Speculation Thread, the sign on the left as the DJ names appear reads "TONY'S". Easier to catch if the video is slowed down, since the bloom effect blots it out pretty quick.

Didn't Take Two confirm alot more content is coming to GTA Online

https://rockstarintel.com/2018/05/16/take-two-interactive-q4-2018/

and RDR2 won't be what GTAO was?

https://gamerant.com/red-dead-redemption-2-wont-sell-as-well-gta-5/

To me this says GTA Online will stay alive until the next GTA is announced. Are people still listening to Mr. BossWTF's end of GTA prophecies?

Apparently GTAV was the most downloaded game on PSN this June. I believe there's a lot more life to GTAO than some think. They certainly won't quit supporting GTAO just because of RDR2. That said, I'm really looking forward to spending time in the west. As much as I love Los Santos, to me it's really time for a change. But I'll probably still play GTAO a few days a week after RDR2 releases.

That depends on how much more memory the xbox one and ps4 still has, one day it will reach a point where just like the xbox 360 and ps3 versions the current gen consoles will run out of memory for updates.

Not sure it works like that but I’m no expert. I thought they cut support for old-gen because the content itself that they wanted to release for PS4 was too ”heavy” for old systems. But as long as the content we’re receiving is on par with what we’ve gotten so far for PS4/XBone, I don’t see why they can’t keep adding more? It’s not like when an update drops its stored on DDRAM? Or are you talking about HD/SSD memory??

I still don't get the hype over this, esp considering the 'hype' from previous dlc's (And the resulting actual 'presented' offerings)

I just figure it will be yet another bunker/mc business style thing(IE [pay 75k to refill supplies, wait x time to fill stock, sell stock around town, etc)

If not 'identical' to them, I still figure it will be based on the same blueprint they have used for most 'profit sources' the game has given us.

All I can say/suggest is to expect a LOT less than what you 'think' and then you can only be pleasantly surprised.

@Retroview1955

I don't mean that GTA Online will dry up and stop getting support. I mean that R* is clever enough to see that people may be moving on and the possible "streamlining" of our Businesses is a way to keep people interested.

No-one can deny that needed to go to five separate places to trigger resupply missions I a drag.

You may be right about this, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's Delivery Guy Simulator all over again. But there's one thing that makes this update stand out compared to so many others, and that's the nightclubs themselves. I've always wanted more locations where as a player I can spend time with friends, having a drink, do some dancing - in short, something that helps the world of GTAO come to life a bit more and makes the city feel more alive. Some people dreamt about having Hangars (I'm glad they released them even though they weren't on top of my list), others dreamt about having MC's and Clubhouses etc.

So yeah.. I hope they make something good of it all, but I don't have massive expectations either. But just the fact that there'll be enterable nightclubs really is enough for me, and it's well past due.

I love all business updates and the grind. Im not alone. And there is a hype because its a big update since 7 months, if you dont count stunt race 5.0. They know that they need to release alot now to keep up with the number of players record last year and most shark card sales

Will we be allowed to do kareoke into our mics at the night clubs ?

Dancing and drinking minigames are the only activities that come to mind.  I don't see why you cant just get on stage on your own tho.  As long as you're in the game or party chat ppl should be able to hear you. ;D

My question for anyone who may know the answer,  any code or leak that imply we'll get new hairstyles,  jewelry and maybe even tattoos?  I'm sure we'll get new clothes but any idea what kind?

Is it actually confirmed that owning a nightclub will allow you to "streamline" all your businesses, warehouses, bunker, hanger etc and run them all from the nightclub or is this just a rumour?

I find it strange you would run everything from such a thing as a nightclub.  Surely that should be a feature for the Facility or MOC.

Was confirmed in the description of the teaser, far as I'm aware.

The nightlife scene in Los Santos is getting a major upgrade. Thanks to the efforts of one well-known, well-connected and somewhat financially sound impresario the underground dance club scene is about to blow open in July.

?  Nothing there suggests anything about streamlining all businesses.

These nightclubs will need something special to make me want to buy one.  I'm not interested in another yacht-light DLC.

Is that all you took from the post? There's a whole two paragraphs below that. The streamlining thing is towards the end of the newswire post.

"Management is honest work, a tidy way to keep income from your more seedy ventures with Disruption Logistics, The Open Road, SecuroServ and Free Trade Shipping Co. looking clean as fresh laundry."

Ah sorry, I totally missed it!

Nightclubs are the perfect cover for any other operation you might have going, so get in on the ground level as a business partner to open up a brand new establishment, and help the DJ’s make their shows the best ever. Run your nightclub business from setup, design, staffing and promotion; the more popular the club, the faster your secure wall safe will fill up. Management is honest work, a tidy way to keep income from your more seedy ventures with Disruption Logistics, The Open Road, SecuroServ and Free Trade Shipping Co. looking clean as fresh laundry.

This is quite ambiguous.  Also, the bit where it says "as a business partner" worries me.  I hope this DLC isn't going to force people to team up to make it work like with heists.

the speculation is it will probably be an NPC partner. Possibly Tony or Luis from TBoGT. Speculation ONLY, no evidence to support it.
