More then two characters on one account

Is it possible to have more then two characters on one account? In the menu for swapping/ creating your characters, are several slots, but only two you can use, whats the reason for that?

Nope, Those slots have been there since launch but nobody knows the reason behind them.

 

There was speculation that those slots were reserved for a new map such as North Yankton or something but 5 years on R* has never told us the reason for them.

(One of the slots would have been for your Law Enforcement character if they had launched with one of the beta modes, I believe)

 

Anyway those slots disappeared in the move to PS4/XB1 so yeah fuggedahbahdit
