HellPriest
Im still playing this big time. My favorite one. V was ok but I dont like because you have to buy all the good cars, but the game is called Grand Theft Auto. IV has a way better story the V. Definitely still playing this iiCriminnaaL, Algonquin Assassin, Bratva Assassin and 1 other

GiveMeLiberty78
I just reinstalled GTAIV having previously installed it in 2010 then uninstalled in 2015. I have decided to return to GTA 4 for two reasons: 1) nostalgia, for better or for worse; and 2) because the story was very good from what I recall. GTA 5's storyline felt unfinished because the originally planned single player DLC never happened, and the storyline seemed to build up to not a lot (there is not much else to do, and even modding extends replay value only so much). Also, GTA 4's storyline seemed a bit more serious and compelling and possibly believable than GTA 5's. As Lester said, I found the characters by the end to be a bunch of whiny West-coast douchebags, haha! But GTA 4's storyline is one that I did not finish, in fact the only GTA I did not complete, but I did become aware of the possible endings. But I will say that GTA 5 was much easier to install. Although my discs were all damaged (both my original and my replacement copy had "cyclic redundancy errors" and R* never responded to my support ticket, useless buggers!), I downloaded it digitally even though each validation stage froze my newly built PC and required a restart to resume. But GTA 4, oh my what a nightmare to install. And now I cannot hear tyre skid sounds for some unknown reason. (Any help here is greatly appreciated by the way!)Edit: I resolved my previous sound issue by replacing the actual WHEEL LOOPS audio archive/soundbank. I used OpenIV and an original (undamaged) copy kindly included with gtamaniac77's mod here. It was a simple fix taking about 5 minutes from download to test run. But I do look forward to restarting GTA4 eventually, with v1.0.4.0 + ENB + some other HD textures, tweaks and scripts. Oh, and perhaps trying my hand at the infamous Algonquin Assassinations! Lance Mayhem
Still going back to IV. Still smitten with Kiki. The driving (especially the braking distances) really takes some getting used to after V, but with realistic driving falling in between the condominium-on-skateboard of IV and the Tron-style cornering and braking of V, I find IV to be more lifelike / immersive. More consequences for not paying attention. Empathetic Kiki is nice as well. The city is great, too, with its quirky inhabitants and cool architecture. And of course, we can't forget jealous Kiki. Niko, while not really 'warm and fuzzy', is also a cool character, as he's not out to be king of the underworld heap. And drunk Kiki... Also, as in real life, it's amusing to see all the fast cars people (NPCs) have when there's no place to use that speed. All in all, still a beautiful and satisfying game to play, and a nice world to visit. ...Oh, and I should probably mention Kiki, but space limitations preclude that. Algonquin Assassin
I just done my longest sitting in God knows how long. About 2 hours 15 minutes. I don't normally play games that long now unless it's a new game or something. Most of the time it's an hour tops. And people say there's nothing to do *shrugs*. I completely lost track of time and thought "sh*t have I been playing it that long?". I have also updated the thread title to 2019 (Which I forgot to do with the new year). billiejoearmstrong8
Even though I enjoyed it a lot, with hindsight I can't believe I spent 3+ years playing GTA V when I had IV sitting there waiting to be discovered all that time. Been playing it non stop the last 5 months since I finally decided to check it out, still in awe of how great it is (and how it blows V out of the water). It has a quality that means it doesn't and won't feel dated, I'll be playing it for years to come. Algonquin Assassin and iiCriminnaaL
HisNameIsMilad
When I first played gta 4 back in 2008 it felt as if I was discovering cocaine for the first time but at the age of 12 Lol I wouldnt or correction I couldn’t get enough of it I was already hyped because of playing gta sa prior and boy was I addicted to that fun game but when gta 4 came I don’t know what I didn’t do in this game skipping to 2019 now that I’m 22 and still play/love gta 4 I would Lowkey unconsciously try to play gta 4 too proper like no cheat codes and use the hard earned money instead and watch for my bullet magazines no auto aim and no hud and no radar and everything but just last night before I went to bed I decided to Not follow the same style and went all crazy and omg have I missed out on the insanely fun this game has to offer I mean I was driving up a road and I tried to get as much speed as possible because at some point the road would go back to flat surface and then I hit the triangle button and I dived out the car as it was in the air and the car slammed against two bodies and And then a wall and nikos body flew by next to it hitting the wall and I almost hit a ped with niko head to head and all that took place less than 2-3 seconds and I i was Astounded what magic this game can build ! The hype! The chaos! The freedom of creative demolition to the city and its people I just woke up and I feel like playing crazy again lol that’s one thing I’ve always praised gta 4 in particular for compared to literally every game in the world before or after it and that wasn’t just the rag doll or should I say euphoria intelligence but also the Gravity i mean the details and resemblance to our reality of gravity creates such a realistic feel to me in this game for example when the character jumps out of a helicopter in GTA 5 it feels like a feather landing slowly in a straight route to the ground BUT IN IV nikos body feels like a BIG BAG SAND that literally SHOOTS diagonally into the ground or walls or buildings or cars or peoples and man the impact of that just by watching right before he hits anything always give me the short but extreme tension and then BAM it’s like watching a movies for psychos except I’m doing it so I’m exploring my psycho side something no other game has been able to be on par in my opinion Edited February 5, 2019 by HisNameIsMilad Bratva Assassin, Algonquin Assassin and iiCriminnaaL
DEADWOODZ
From back in 08, on the 360 to 2019 on PC I still delve into that city!
