It's also too bad that Rockstar evidently never considered it worthwhile to at least re-release IV to modern consoles, if a complete remaster was something that couldn't be done. An iconic game that was huge back in the day kind of feels forgotten about now. El Penguin Bobo, SanLiberty, E=MC^2 and 2 others

TheSantader25
Finished again for the 9th time after the new radio tracks were released. It's a must for me to finish every gta from 3 to 5 at least once a year. Guest
I still play it as well. Not only is the story still as captivating, but I find IV to be one of the better GTAs for having shootouts, they feel really intense in this game. It's fun to have shootouts with the various gangs and cops of LC and I find cop chases to be really fun in IV. As much as IV had the "serious" tone, ironically if I wanted to have some senseless fun and cause some carnage I'd keep coming back to IV

Not just the mechanics themselves, but acoustics also. It feels like I'm in a real gun fight with the loud bang of gunshots and the sound of bullets hitting the ground when being ejected. Yeah the gunfire sounds are what makes shootouts in IV so intense, when I was playing three leaf clover I felt as if I was in the movie Heat lol. Also the way npcs act when shot by limping and grabbing at bullet wounds , Niko angry growls and quotes while shooting really enhances the experience and makes shootouts so fun in iV

Hmmm nice bike
For a game from 2008, GTA IV has aged quite well. It has its faults, but graphics-wise it still looks quite good (although some of the character models do look a little undetailed compared to today's standards, but this is by no means game-breaking). I definitely still play every now and then. iiCriminnaaL and Arrows to Athens
Legomanarthur
I still play it occasionally, I'll probably do another playthrough during the summer. It's always fun to play this game, even roaming around the city is enough for me to have fun, but I usually use scripts to spice things up when I want to do crazy stuff. Journey_95
Just replayed it last year again but haven't started another playthrough this year yet. This game definitely remains a masterpiece and has aged rather well (LC especially is still such a well crafted open world city, also the story is still one of my favourites in gaming). Looking forward to play it during my semester vacation and I'll likely do another playthrough of TLAD too. Don't think I can get through TBOGT again though, its just awful in comparison Edited June 26, 2018 by Journey_95 Algonquin Assassin, iiCriminnaaL and Bratva Assassin

I actually only play Xbox consoles as I have all three Xboxes (original Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One). I play GTA 4 on Xbox One, EFLC and SA on Xbox 360, and 3 and VC on the original Xbox. I’m just not a big Nintendo or PlayStation guy. I still respect the opinions of those who play PlayStation though. Mangled Crow
Of course! A timeless piece of memory that still lingers through my mind and rules in the books to this day. IV and The Lost and Damned will never get too old to play, probably on the 5 or 6th playthough with TLaD by now.
