Most Off-mission fun

Which GTA do you spend more time in free-mode not doing any main/side activities? Basically trying creative things and screwing around. 

After you made your choice please say what things you actually do in free roam.I wanna use the ideas if they're good.

Note:by Side activities I mean things that break the free mode formula.things like strangers and freaks, Random encounters,... 

Things like gang territories, vigilante,...

are considered freemode fun.

As for myself. GTA SA and a bit of GTA 5 back when it came out. 

GTA SA has loads of cheats to have fun with. Gang territories are fun as well. I usually visit interiors like burger shots or martial arts, etc to basically f*ck the whole place up. 

In GTA V I messed with the character switch system a lot. For example I put one protagonist in a tank. Picked him up with a cargobob then switch back to the tank in the air blowing stuff up.

GTA San Andreas. I have spent a lot of time exploring the map especially the countryside, visiting strip clubs, gym, breaking into houses just to check the interior, gang wars, cycling.

GTA SA,when it comes to gameplay,it's the best game in the series,lots of fun side activities and stuff to do.

GTA IV: I love screwing around with the physics, exploiting the swingset glitch, doing vigilante missions, races, exploring the city, meeting random characters, hanging out with the friends/girlfriends etc.

 

Though I don't do it quite as much as I used to I liked to dress up Niko in the balaclava and Albanian biker outfit and terrorise the Cluckin' Bells, Burgershots etc and pick off cops one by one seeing how I could last. Also Happiness Island rampages due to the lower number of cops that spawn.

GTA SA. One thing I spent a lot of time doing in SA was grabbing the mountain bike at the base of Mt Chilliad, activating the 6 star wanted level cheat and then trying to get to the top of Mt Chilliad using the bike while avoiding getting wasted/busted. It was a lot of fun for me and much harder than I thought (though maybe I'm just a noob lol). Sometimes I try to do it on foot but that was just brutal

 

Also when I play SA after a break I like to take road trips around the map , visit the various towns and explore the countryside and desert. Add to that the various activities like gang wars, burglary, triathlons etc and I easily spent the most time free roaming in SA
