Black screen after Sir Yes Sir cutscene

After starting the mission Sir Yes Sir for Cortez, the screen goes black and does nothing. I have tried other missions and they work perfectly. I have tried it with frame limiter on and off. I have tried it with every resolution. I also have several car mods installed but reinstalling them seems to repair nothing. I haven't yet tried it with other compatibility modes because when i change it, then i do not have the save game.

Do you mean you can't load your save?

Switching compatibility modes causes the game to look into a different directory for the save file and OP need not have to do that.

 

Most likely there's a mod you are overlooking that is causing your game to freeze. If you just want the mission passed, you can upload your save to GTASnP and post the link here so that someone else can pass the mission for you. If you want to figure out the source of the freeze, you should reinstall the game completely (which includes deleting the entire game directory by hand after using the uninstaller) and install your mods one by one until the problem is reproducible.

Update:

Got it fixed now, reinstalled all the mods and works perfectly now.
