deleted account
The GTA SA Save Game Editor is a hell of a useful tool, the most important being the "spinning traffic" glitch fix, somehow through the power of black magic the Save Game Editor is able to stop npc cars from doing this, but when I try to edit a save game with the San Vice mod it just says this, this is a problem because without the fix I won't be able to make the GTA SA Cleo Myths series 2 because of this eye-soar of a glitch. Is there a way to fix this issue, or just have the map overhaul without all the technical sh*t?
OrionSR
Try the Traffic Fix on GTASnP.com. The fix is a bit more up to date than the Savegame Editor anyway. If SnP can't recognize your save then we might want to talk to Samutz about adding proper detection. How widely used is the San Vice mod? (Is it worth his trouble?) We'd need to figure out the compatibility issue; basically have everything all worked out. If SnP accepts the save at all then post the link here. I'll take a look at it with my trusty save editor and see if I can find something easy to tweak. You should be able to repair the save yourself using a hex editor. But this is a complicated fix; you'll need to reset hundreds of timer fields. We know what needs to be adjusted. Finding them all is a challenge. If hex editing ends up being the best option then I'd recommend the 010 Editor. Free editors like HxD will work but it is so much easier to work with the binary templates of 010. If you need to repair lots of saves then 010 has a scripting tool that can repeat the process reliably. Another option is to use a hex editor to cut and paste any compatible blocks from your San Vice save into a normal save and then let SnP repair as much as possible before pasting everything back to the original save. You'll still probably want to adjust any appropriate global variables that contain timers. This would be easier with the help of the authors. So... Chew on that and let me know the results of the SnP test and how you want to proceed. I'll try to hook you up with a working template once I try it out on one of your saves. BTW, if San Vice is using extended IPL and other limit adjusting then this will be a much more complicated process.
