Gta5 online help newbie

Ok so I just got this game last week and been doing story mode ..love the game by the way .. and I decided to try online mode while I was in story mode and it had me pick a character ,there mom dad ect n then straight into the open world action ..what am I supposed to do .. where r the other online players ..I just don't get it I'm lost ..can anyone explain to me ..they should really explain the rules and what game ur playing online ..curious to what other game syles there is n what most people play

There is waayy too much to explain. Might be best looking in the 'find lobbies and players' forum to find someone on your console/PC to have a chat and tour of the map perhaps?

Online requires a bit of patience and attention at first, because you'll get a million tooltips and phone calls explaining things. Best bet imo is to load into "Invite Only" session at first so you get the hang of all the non-asshole stuff.

 

Top tip though is - explore the Interactive Menu. It's way more powerful in Online thann SP.
