Darknight0255 Posted June 21, 2018 Share Posted June 21, 2018 Ok so I just got this game last week and been doing story mode ..love the game by the way .. and I decided to try online mode while I was in story mode and it had me pick a character ,there mom dad ect n then straight into the open world action ..what am I supposed to do .. where r the other online players ..I just don't get it I'm lost ..can anyone explain to me ..they should really explain the rules and what game ur playing online ..curious to what other game syles there is n what most people play Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you are going into online check your map to see all the other people playing on the server you are on. Keep in mind if you are playing with other people you will be obliterated because you have nothing yet. You dont really want to start engaging with other people yet or you will get frustrated unless you manage to find a friend. Posting here is a good first step. What you need is money and the best way to start is by going to online and missions. This week the Lamar missions are double money and rp. Set up a social account so you can create a playlist. Once you play the missions from Lamar one time you can add them all to a play list and play them again and again to make money, experience points (rp), and start leveling up your character. Most of them are chill people trying to have fun and enjoy the game. You'll find some that want to do nothing but cause others trouble, but for the most part, just use GTA Online to make friends with others and have fun. Post on here when you can play your heists, dont do it with randoms. Too many people want to show off, race there, show how good their marksmanship is then they either complete it, die or die and wuit in the middle of a heist. Dont expect them to just stop and help you out, only GTAF players do that. Nobody really helps you out no more. Not like how it was a year or two ago. Post on here. Make some friends. Have fun. I mean really, remember this is a video game.
