universetwisters
Now before you hang me out to dry, let me just mention that up until the soundtrack changed, nobody gave a sh*t about Vladivostok FM. I only listened to it because I love foreign music and I feel like it fit Niko's character well for the better part of the first part of the game when he was still relegated to Hove Beach. That said, am I the only one who likes the new Vladivostok FM? Sure, the old one had some nostalgic songs like Wild Dances and the Green Eyed Taxi one, but everything else, while catchy as f*ck, were just forgettable after you got done listening to them, and others just sounded depressing like those Splean and Ranetki Girls songs. Of course, I don't know what they mean since I don't speak Russian, but if you were an English fella picking out music for a station whose language you don't know, you'd probably be picking songs based on how neat the sound or what's available to license. 10 years later the time comes to find new songs to license and they did a much better job this time around, other than having like four Seregoya songs (but I guess it's part of the licensing deal since he did that LIBERTY CITY INVASION song before?) but other than those, I like them. They sound more like actual Russian sh*t if the background music on all those dashcam videos could be used as a reference on what kind of music Russian people listen to. Plus, that "I hate karaoke" song is my new favorite jam now. I blare it from my car all the time now while I'm delivering pizzas. Personally, I would've liked for them to have kept the few catchy songs from the old Vladivostok FM as opposed to four songs by the same dude just because he made a custom song for IV. But I guess in the world of music licensing, you can't always get what you want. If I should've just posted this in the "IV Song Removal because of expired licenses etc" thread, my apologies. I wanted to see if a discussion/debate could be had that wouldn't be buried under "I HATE ROCKSTAR THEY REMOVE THE FIRST SONG EVER IN GTA 4 ON A RADIO STATION I NEVER LISTEN TO" Bratva Assassin, Crossbones and TheSantader25
TheSantader25
I agree. Tbh I didn't like the soundtrack of GTA 4.I loved TBOGT though. But listening to these new songs encouraged me to do another walkthrough of the game. Edited June 21, 2018 by TheSantader25
Bratva Assassin
No you are not, universetwisters! Although I do like Liberty Rock Radio better, I still like Vladivostok FM as well! Some of their songs make my heart melt whenever I hear them. Edited July 2, 2018 by ThatBenGuy
Magic_Al
I like the new songs. I wish there was a DLC for Xbox 360 to add them to the station while leaving the originals if you have a physical copy.
Marcos18
I just like 3 or 4 musics. The old Vladivostok is still better for me.
E=MC^2
Hello everyone! I guess I'm the only russian who replied to this topic:) What about Vladivostok FM, I've never even listend to it but I know that it has mostly some pop sh*t. I always try to avoid pop music because it sticks in your mind and then you need to get rid of it and that really starts getting on my nerves. This is one of the reasons why I hate that pop sh*t. But anyways I get what you're saying. I usually listen to The Classics 104.1, The Beat 102.7, Massive B Soundsystem, some tracks on Fusion FM, some tracks on The Journey, some tracks on The Vibe 98.8. And it's not Seregoya, it's Sereyoga (hip-hop artist from Belarus). PS. By the way, Vladivostok is pretty big city in Russia - about 600 000 people. https://www.google.ru/maps/@43.122834,131.8839382,3a,65.3y,137.9h,88.52t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1spvtC5BwyZfN7Ugrn4T4Nfg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
