PSA: PC Modders giving players bad sport/ resetting rank

Many players on PC have very recently reported having their rank reset along with being put in bad sport by modders. I advise you all stay away from public lobbies until this issue is resolved. If you decide to take a chance and experience this issue, I recommend selecting the option to exit to story mode immediately after you are notified of being placed in bad sport, after you accept the notification screen asking if you're sure you want to exit to story mode, you will be presented with another notification screen stating your rank has been reset; as soon as you see this kill the game with task manager. DO NOT PRESS ACCEPT AT THIS SCREEN. I'm fairly positive that if you follow my instructions, your rank will not be reset. I followed them and was the only person in my practically full bad sport lobby that hadn't been reset. Unfortunately to the best of my knowledge there is no way to avoid the bad sport initially, but certainly you will be able to appeal it through rockstar ticket request (if your account has a history of modded $/RP I would consider not doing this and just waiting it out, since r* may review your acct after submitting request and ban you for modding).
