So, today I played Act II with a random. We did everything on hard, since the pre-preparation, only us two.

In the final part, the submarine heist, he decided that I should take 15%. I asked 30% considering that I didn't die once and stayed until the end, AND basically the only thing he did was to drive to the marked locations. But, the greedy was higher on him and he decided to look for another one accepting the 15% cut. That's the reason I just don't do any kind of heists with randoms, but in my head, since everybody would make good money, I gave a try today.

So my question for all is: what the minimum acceptable cut you guys would take on those circumstances, and in others like only participating in the final? And if you are the host, what do you take in consideration to give a fair cut to your associates?

20%

Unless with friends or what-not. I want my piece, and I get it, lol.

I reacted off the title and 1st line more though, oops. 15 if I do sod all is always enough. :)

Everyone thinks they deserve a lot. It's just human nature. We all want money. I have hundred millions, so I couldn't care less.

If anyone here is on PS4 and is bad sport, just hit me up. I will do heists with you. I don't even care if you give me 5 percent.

Every time I'm offered a fair share (40%-50% if we're doing a 2-man) then the heist leader has my undivided loyalty.  I'll restart that sh*t til the cows come home.

If they offer a measly amount, then I'll leave if we fail the first attempt.  Not worth my time at that point.

I personally want 20%, and when I host, if it's just me and another person, I'd rather give them 30-50%

I usually play with crew members and friends so I split the cut as evenly as I can with the amount of players present (50/50 for two, 40/30/30 for three, 25% each for four). They more than often help me with most of the setups so it's fair plus I trust them to a great extent so I just split it evenly regadless.

With randoms though, it depends on how much they helped before the finale and if they're just finale hopping or not. If it's the latter then 15% is all they deserve and to get more depends on the setups/preps they helped with, up to a maximum of 50% with one person, 30% with two others and 25% with three others.

In your case you should have gotten a 50% cut since you helped with everything including preps but since you were playing with a random he probably wouldn't be so generous so I believe 40% is the minimum you should have gotten in a situation like this. He was just being a greedy f*cking sh*t and taking full advantage of the double payouts this week. Basically giving you the least cut possible without it being 0%.

I will give 20%, unless you are an absolute twattwaffle, then its 15%( when playing with randumbs)

I should add I'm ok with the 40/20 split as well with four people assuming they've helped a fair amount with setups/preps but 25% is what I always do with friends and crew members. That's just me lol

With friends, who I've done the setups With? 15% is okay in my book.

Randoms? 20% minimum. Pay me.

I think I deserve better than heisting with randoms...

Honestly though, heisting has never been a regular thing for me, so I look at it a bit differently. It's something I do once or twice to experience the content and to unlock vehicle access/trade prices, with a pre-arranged group who've agreed to equitable payouts. Or, I'm helping out a friend who needs the unlocks and/or money and I'll take a low cut for their sake.

If I were doing it with randoms with the aim to make money, I'd expect fair pay for fair work. If I was just jumping in for a finale I would accept the minimum (but I would leave after a second failure.) For your situation in the OP, it'd be 40%.

No less than 420%. I'll take 20% in the planning screen and expect you to send me two megalodon shark cards in the following 14 business days.

I don't do the heists for money, I do them for fun. That being said, it's rude to give me a low cut of the profits for no reason. If you dock my pay, you'll get what you pay for.

If I've been a patient player and I've helped the host a lot since the beginning then it's 20%.

Go below that and I'll pack my stuff and leave.

I'd accept 15%, you're already there just ready up, I always tell beggars "time is money ready up"... and boy do I let them know after they die of the exact cost of their stupidity, because we all know most beggars aren't even worth the 5% they're begging for. 😛

Honestly, if I feel my cut is unworthy of my time then I host. Nothing stopping me from hosting right?

Well, if its just the host and me 20%, if it is more people 15%.

But thats only if I only help with the final.

If i help you with the full heist and its only you and me 30%

I'll take 15% when I'm with randoms, regardless of how many setups I did with them. If I want more then I would have set up my own heist.

When I host I always go evenly. 50% for two people, etc.

I love the peeps who say 20% or they won't do it, that's like asking someone who paid for your dinner if you can eat some of their food too... that gets me going.

If i'm host the second someone begs I back out and invite everyone except them and increase their cuts for being patient.

I only allow winners in my finales, no whiners.

I only do with friends or crew. I always give an equal amount regardless despite me having to..

1. Pay for the heist activation

2. Not get paid for setups

That's why people give others less.. They(we) pay for the heist and don't get paid but other people just get pure profit.

I'm also willing to bet you are a higher rank so they think you're loaded and rolling in dough.

15%-20% is more than fair. Anything less, you get what you pay for..which is a sh*t partner.

In your circumstance, I'd take the 15% then take a LONG time to complete the mission and just before doing so, leave.

If my time isn't worth your money, your time isn't worth my effort.

I take default at minimum. I'm not greedy.

I also generally give out default if I'm hosting. Don't be greedy.

Act 2 finale takes 15 mins and pays how much at 15%? Why would you waste time then walk away with nothing?!? LOL

They complain about getting short changed, then proceed to "accept" the cut, decide to take half an hour on a 15 minute heist, then leave at the last minute to "show" the host? Like what does that accomplish? You probably could've made what you were offered doing something else in that time, and the host won't care about the time wasted, as he'll reload and move onto the next person willing to accept the cut and have it done in 15 minutes or less.

I don't get it but I have a feeling they think a lesson will be learned. TBH the OP sounds like a good heist mate but asking or expecting more than 15% is pointless, the host will give you more if they don't need more money to buy their toys, it's not about skills or self-worth or even greed really imo. It's simply the difference between "needs" and "wants", most hosts chose to host so they would rake in the big bucks and I admire the OP for joining from the preps and staying until the end, if he does the math he made quite a bit of money without spending much, unlike the host who got one big payout for all that time and money that no one saw him spend on the heist.

I think this thread might help joiners understand it's not even worth asking for more. I rarely host and I get paid well sometimes just by being the first to ready up or saving the host during a setup or whatever... point is there's no specific reason to increase cuts, no host is taking notes, it's only done by generous people who want to give more.

I give 30 to someone that helped in setups and 20 to freeloaders that show up just for the finale. I won't budge from either. I'll troll my own heist if I get too much disgruntled feedback about the amount.

20% with four people, nothing less. Would love to have 40% with two, but I’d do 30%. Nothing less than that.

the very few times i did heist with randumbs, depending on my performance i always asked for 20-25%

if i was just joining for the finale, ill take the 15%

a handful of times i was dumped at the finale so one of the host friends could join in, thats why i learned to only do heist with friends.

I always try to go evenly (50/50, 25/25/25/25) because I'm both generous and bad at math.

If I did nothing, 15% is perfectly acceptable. I don't ask for an increase unless I've helped them.

Try and move below the default pay however and I f*cking walk. Thank god you can't do that on Doomsday, I hate those people.....

Lance Mayhem

PS3 player here, so limited heists available to me.

I'll take 10 % if all I'm showing up for is the finale. 15 is nice if I've been along for the whole ride, but really, I've been making money on the setups as well, so no biggie.

A friend with lots of money hosted PacStandard and gave me 50%, while each of her other friends got 25% and she took nothing for herself. I was extremely uncomfortable with this.

On another occasion, I hosted and this same friend asked me to take her share, but I couldn't bring myself to do that, particularly with 2 randoms on board. Just bad optics, y'know? I went 40/20/20/20, which I tend to do.

If my other friend ever gets around to completing Prison Break for the first time, I'll do it for free in exchange for being the pilot. Or even demolitions (putting me on ground crew is a recipe for failure).

I host mostly so I can choose my role for the finale, not so much for money. I'd sooner race or do contact missions if I'm after cash.

Agreed.  If the Leader is fair, I'll stick with them till the end.

When it comes to random Heist jobs, I'd be okay to get the same with what the majority of players are getting.  If 3 guys are getting 20% I expect the same.  If they're getting 10%, I'd expect that.
