About this mod:

 

FxsFuncs.asi have long hard history, creator ( Junior_Djjr ) started with me back in September 2019.

I wanted to push this game beyond her  expectation, so was he with script.

In summer 2019 I succeed in making 32-frame effect, from maximum space of 8 prims, which game allowed me.

It turned out pretty good, but it had some loop glitches ( when game was about to play same effects on many spots )

Later comes the script which fixes that, then as we discuss about mod, months passed and script was just getting better and bigger.Not to mention tons of bugs on the way.

It is beta, it comes with ini, easy to edit, it's mostly for developers, but you can use some custom effects I made like:

To spare you time, you won't get better results if you change some numbers by yourself, anything in ini. file 

so effects are already maxed out already

 

 

There comes also particle.txd which is for Enhance ParticleTXD script, if you don't use that mod then you don't belong in 2020

 

more effects to check by yourself:

helicopter water effect

underwater explosion

wood, garbage, boxes debris etc

 

100 ideas for new effects, as I literally can put Trump to dance in middle of forest,

it's more about motivation I guess, again like I said lost interests, not gonna happen.

 

 

 

So much hard work has been put in making this, and it's still beta unfinished mod.Mod of this magnitude should come with topic and to discuss, not post like this.First of all, last 3 months I lost interested in modding this game, not motivation tho.

It's to old engine and I think you'll understand.I spent few hundred dollars on assets and donation to few modders out there, and at the end of the day, I don't see point where this is getting and chances I will be updating this mod are close to 0.

I want to try the effects mod but since it replaces so many files, is this mod compatible with mods such as https://www.mixmods.com.br/2020/03/shoreline-waves.html and https://www.gtainside.com/en/sanandreas/mods/139156-combat-fx-realistic-particle-effects/ ? 

 

And most effects except the explosions are low quality is there any certain reason for this ?

 

And finally thank you for the latest mods you released so far.

The seawater looks amazing with this! However did I install something wrong, because the amount of frames for the waves seems to be 15-ish at best which really breaks up the illusion when focusing on it?

Why would you have those waves near mine, if they look better than mine, then there's something really wrong with you.

You have no idea how much time I spent in Photoshop making that one animation of waves.

Anyway ''I think'' you can use any effects with mine with Effects Loader 

300mb txd file, well, for 2004 game that is plenty and don't compare next game to this, just think of default SA partilces and then observe mine.

That can be only one, effects rate, without MixSets you should put Medium in Options, low and high will just brake the game.

With these settings in MixSets you should be ok

FxEmissionRateMult   = -1   
FxEmissionRateShare  = 1  
FxDistanceMult       = 10

@Ezekiel I was just curious asking if they are compatible with each other. Im not complaining or comparing the quality of the mods you relased so far.

Im planning to install and test your latest effects later. Sorry if you get me wrong, I appreciate your dedication for such a old game.

It's fine on that gif, look, waves must be high resolution textures and they are the reason txd is large.

there are 56 frames on waves, more than that txd would reach 500mb

To me looks nice. idk what you expected.

oh waves are divided to 2 parts, since one prim can hold 28 frames.
I see that 2nd one lags a bit.

Idk will I update this mod, clouds and waves were just like test, tossed in there, as you can see

waves are only on LS beach

Idk what will I do about rest of map, if I see people really show interests in this mod, I might add waves to rest of map and not to mention more effects around map, insects, leaves flying around and dirty water near coast.

Script could also use some updates as well.

For example, when you dive in ocean, and then come up, effects above water take break, and that water shade planes I put near coast takes some time to load back so, ugly transition.

 

Edit:

you can easily delete waves, clouds, shades in IPL file

I'm going to be honest. The explosions look much better in the Combat FX Update. Yours look weird, like there is barely any depth in them. Plus that there is this weird framerate thing in every effect, which is jarring.

Sorry I can't invite you, with all due respect you didn't quite master fxp modding yet, after all  it's not even the fxp the point over here, so much as making room for the new stuff, thanks to Junior for that one.

 

I didn't say stop making these mods, but I hate when someone is doing something, busting his ass, while someone already drill that hole.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good mod. There are effects that I like, such as the water hydrant one or the way you did the water.

I wanted to test the mod but sadly crashes for me since i use so many mods and scripts.

Such as combat fx, imfx and effect loader mods.

 

But not sure about cause of the crash. I tried removing mods altering the lightning, waves and explosions.

 

Well people actually tried your mod and some able to work with even renderhook and crashes for some.

Lol, wasn't even complaining 😆

Just thought I might've installed something incorrectly which caused that issue.

 

Now that I know it actually functions as expected I'll take this over no waves at all.

Guys, who tried the mod on a clean game, does everything work fine for you? No glitches, no crashes?
I tried on playing with mods. My weapon flashes did not work until I disabled them in IMFX, saves do not work and the game periodically crashes unexpectedly (I think this is due to ID's).
But in general, the mod is cool! I really would not like the author to abandon it. I would also like to see garbage on the ground (newspapers, leaves, etc.), as in the VC.

Pretty sure the leaves on the ground as in VC can be done with a seperate script without issues, mod also seems to be fine on my end with a mostly clean install.

it is, learn to use fxp and ini, you can mix everything, but could you?

Clouds aren't volumetric, just 2D texture, I can't tell you solution, cause there are not problems over here with clouds, it's simple effect.

I think so, just in ini rename thunder effect to your name effect, if it doesn't show up correctly your fault buddy.

*AddWheelDust_Sand

 

looks like I did bad job on them effects since you all want yours.

now updating this mod is close to minus one quadrillion

Don't say that.

This effect mod is really really cool. I really liked it, and the fact that it is in its beta stage makes me think that if in this stage these effects are this much cool, I wonder how they will look in their non-beta state.

Please keep it up.

I don't know why there are so many crashes are. I installed it as Ezekiel says and it works perfectly for me. What if they start adding things to them, obviously the game crashes and more if they do it crazy. Apart this mod is in beta phase there is still things to improve

Is it the best thing across the board? No.

Does it have cool new features that are absolutely awesome? Heck yeah!

 

Would definitely like to see the waves applied over the whole map. Water caustics on the swimming pools are a great touch as well + the grass effect when driving over it is probably the best I've seen so far.

I honestly like to see other crazy effects being implemented that probably no one would expect to see in SA. 👍
