[REL|BETA] Storyline Enhancement Mod

This is ridiculous to mention, but i just want to tell about a problem i experienced with this mod and how i solved it:

I installed this mod, i didn't try much, but driving a little bit around and do some missions. Then i decided to install Big Gangster Mod into this version of GTA SA. But i modified BGM so, that i had a ballas5 model and texture. I thought that it would fit to the main.scm of SEM, but for some reason, when entering the crack den in "Cleaning Up The Hood" the game suddenly crashed. Today i took all original models and textures from SEM and didn't change their file names. I took other file names for the peds that would go to ballas4 and ballas5 and now it works again.

So never replace ballas4 and ballas5 .dff's and .txd's !

And to be safe don't try to use them as gang peds.

All the other bugs and errors which got mentioned here i didn't notice yet, but i'm in the beginning of the storyline so let's see

Hey do you think is it still safe to use Ezekiel's Insanity Peds/cutscene characters or Vados 299 hd peds pack if Storyline Enhancement is installed?

That was more than likely related to ID's. This mod and the BGM add new peds so they likely have conflicts here and there. Finding and fixing issues like that requires some time but it's doable if you have enough time and patience :)

If you don't use ballas5.dff and ballas5.txd in peds.ide it shouldn't crash i guess. And try not to use any other added peds from SEM, because the main.scm tries to load those specific models in missions and then, if you gave those specific models an ID (what i did) it somehow crashes the game (i think so)

Doberman is bugged, whenever i get to the checkpoint nothing happens. Like there isn't the police officer that kicks the door and than i have to collect the weed and kill Poncho. It just gets stuck when i get to the fence

this mod just keeps o crashing at the mission "Customs Fast Track" whenever I press the "fire/shoot" button to drop the container be it on a controller, a keyboard, on a mouse. and because of that, i cannot continue the game!

tested on both a heavily modded GTA Installation and a clean install (with just silents asi loader + modloader +cleo)!

just to be sure, I tested on both the one here and the one at Mixmods.com.br the result is the same!

Make sure to do some work on the mod itself first thought. Considering all these people complaining about various bugs and crashes at this topic it will be a hell of a job to make this mod compatible with co-op.

That would be great! Especially considering the fact that the mod's original creator gone silent for a while... again.... So I guess if you're not gonna fix this mod nobody will.

the most serious bug is the phonecall from rosenberg that you never receive, it doesn't let you complete the game

My game crashes on Reuniting the Families. The cutscene rolls in and boom it crashes. No crash logs. Read only is ticked. Version is 1.0. Mods that are only installed are SilentPatch and widescreen fix.

 

EDIT: Nevermind about the problem above, I passed RTF as quick as I could. The only problem now is I don't get the phone call from Rosie that was supposed to trigger after High Noon, despite finishing all the missions including the airstrip ones and even finished the heist missions despite being optional. My radar is empty of mission blips.

It didn't crash for me. There are several missions like the Black Project and Amphibious Assault including this that crashes at random times so just finish the mission as quick as possible and hope that it won't crash until you complete the mission. Apparently, the creator hasn't yet looked up into these problems so I guess I'm gonna start a new game with the original TTDISA for now until its finally fixed. I'm stuck at High Noon with everything else complete. No nada at my radar.

also this mod seems to be more problematic since you can't use it with pre existing saves and if you continue a save made with this mod later without this mod it just crashes

This mod is based on TTDISA and has occurring crashes aswell if not installed properly. Of course it would crash because the file was saved with the mod present and with an edited main.scm and script.img and loading the file without the prerequisite mod will obviously crash the game because the file that you load is looking for the base content it was made on.

I have a problem yall, see, when I do the mission "Key To Her Heart", when I finish it, like the cutscene ends where they "have sex", I get a crash.

Also after the mission "all terrain take down" the yellow mark won't disappear I'm LV deep story wise and it's still there bugging me, is there any way to fix this bro? (see the minimap)

okay I got it fixed by downloading the save game files @MachineHead96 posted before, but the mission gets stuck after High Noon. It won't progress further. Guess this is it lol

I've added hot coffee via modloader (custom anims, main.scm and models), so I was able to finish it ;)

Can't progress further, since I don't get the call that triggers Saint Mark's Bistro mission. It's rather frustrating to be stuck at such a late stage of the game, so I'd really appreciate it if the issue could somehow be fixed.

Of course, I understand everything, we are all human and we all have our own problems. No offense, but why the author of this particular modification doesn’t do anything about the errors found by players from around the world? After all, this is the best story mode that was recreated by man :)

should i download this mod?It has great features and i like that it says that it works with most mods but im seeing alot of pepole saying it crashes and i dont want to play for an hour and be unable to complete a mission.Has anybody here completed all the missions without any problems?

Is development on this dead? It's very very very slow. I might end up releasing the source code as a desperate cry for help at all the bugs lol
