Rucke
Has anyone else noticed that the story of RDR2 is very similar to the one in GTA IV's DLC expansion "The Lost and Damned"? A crazy leader who holds onto his ideals, internal conflicts which ultimately leads to different camps within the gang, and a protagonist who is very conflicted and has to choose between loyalty to his leader or what's best for himself. I liked the story of The Lost and Damned so I don't mind this to be honest. What do you think? TheGodDamnMaster
I hadn't thought about the story from that angle before, but you're right: it is similar. Good catch. Obviously Dutch isn't going to die like Billy did though. Arthur's fate is more uncertain, because he isn't mentioned at all in the first game. Maybe Arthur betrays the gang and Dutch demands they never speak of him again? TheSantader25
So far this "end of an era" theme reminds me of black flag.
BurnettVice
I never notice that before. Dutch is the leader just like Billy. Arthur helps keeps the gang together and he's Dutch's righthand man just like Johnny. Can't wait to see how the story plays out! It would be interesting if Arthur betrays the gang. Zello
If he does betray the gang to do his own thing that would make Arthur another version of Brian lol. Edited June 16, 2018 by Zello BurnettVice
Cutter De Blanc
Dunno, only have the bare bones of the story so far. We don't know what aspects of the storyline will be focused on

Granted, progress had many names way back when, but progress nonetheless (according to some). But then again, we don't really know anything apart from what we can deduce from what John says in RDR. And he's an unreliable narrator at best. Edited June 16, 2018 by thc_404
DexMacLeod
Yeah, from what we've seen so far it sure looks to be following a similar story to Lost and Damned but I don't really think we've seen a whole lot yet. 2 hours ago, thc_404 said: It's not internal strife that will kill the gang. I think pressure from the law meant fewer opportunities and more failures which lead to a lack of faith in Dutch's leadership. thc_404
