ddubz91
Just want to state from the jump that I am in no way involved with this game at all, just an avid bmx'er at heart and a huge supporter of this game. To start, it isn't sponsored by any company. No EA sponsorship or anything. It is a one man job, and the "Pipe" version is only a demo at the moment, with promise of the full game coming later on. However, "Pipe" is constantly getting updated and is quite a good start. It bounces off from the old Mat Hoffman and Dave Mirra games from the old PS1/Xbox days. I grew up on them, and they helped me getting into bmx and I'm still shredding over a decade later. I'm sure some of you remember those games. Pipe is coming out with a new map update soon, a brand new street plaza. Can't confirm when, but there's promise it'll be out soon. One thing what really stands out for me in this game is the option to change views. You can have a legit, yep legit, first person view! Amazing on spinning tricks, or just straight back flips. I must warn anyone who is interested in trying it out, it isn't like the Tony Hawk or Skate franchise. The controls are completely different, and you really have to have the patience to work for the tricks. Took me a solid 10+ hours in game time to get somewhat smooth with it. But it's a different type of game, and if you have any interest in BMX you'll like it. The slow-mo feature is a life saver when learning the game and it's physics. I firmly believe if this game gets some more support, it can go a long way. And if anyone is interested in it, please feel free to check it out. The discord is always active, and any questions are always answered and the creator is constantly posting on there for updates and info, etc. bmxstreets.com/pipe/ and available on Steam too. Currently only available on Xbox One and PC, full game will be on all platforms. (Hope this doesn't sound like an advertisement, if so, I apologize!)
