Ciao tutti GTAFrutti!

As i found out it doesnt work too well putting surveys on chatrooms, i decided to post my poll on this forum so there can be not just voting but also discussion. I didnt add biodiesel cause i heard a lot how bad it is, a friend of mine told me hydrogen or even ammonia will be the fuels of the future but i'd really like to drive a hemp car like the old Mercedes station wagon: Slikovni rezultat za hemp-powered mercedes

or a poo-powered New Beetle:

One day i'd be honored if it happens that i can pee into my car's fuel tank instead of using the toilet 😝 I know there are probably much more options but didnt feel like searching too much

So what's your opinion on all this?

We will always rely on gasoline at least I hope these is enough until I die because my car moves on gasoline.

A semi serious answer. Any thing can be used as a fuel, but not all are efficient or reliable, nor are all so easy to reach and sustain. To answer the eco question in straight and practical terms, the most eco fuel is one that is readily available and easiest to produce without the least emmision and waste of energy in it's use or production. On paper Electricity is the most Eco, but how is it produced, stored and utilised. Electricity works wonderfully in microcosm, like in a city, with a contained infrastructure, but falls down when you go off grid (pun intended). After that Plant based fuels are very eco friendly, but require alot to be grown so a lot of arable land is sacrificed. H2 + O is the next best, You face a similar issue to Electricity by way of production, but utilising it is far more useful than Electricty. Ultimately the short term solution will be hybridisation, but long term we need to work on fuel efficience

The more fanciful answer is a fuel with a 100% recyclable rate and a 50% efficiency for release of energy or greater. Most fuels are only good for 10%-20% per unit with most wasting their energy turning Hydrocarbons into component parts that are non-reusable. A fuel that gives about 50% of it's energy to motion and the rest to breaking the fuel down to recyclable parts would be ideal, but no such fuel is known.
