I noticed some players adding body armour from their inventory during play.  How do you do this?  Do you just buy more than one set of body armour?

When you purchase body armour, it gives you about 10 sets

Yes, depending on your rank you can buy backup armor, for example 5 units (regardless of armor size) by online rank 60, and it maxes at 10 extra armor units by rank 135. At AmmuNation's you just buy armor after armor as long as they are indicating a prize (there is no "buy all option" as with buying snacks); when your inventory is full, you just can't buy further.

 

Access like you said: "Interaction menu" (where you also have the GPS, style options, etc.) >> inventory >> body armor

I suppose it's worth mentioning that it'd be better to stay on top of snacks rather than armour. That's because Super Heavy Armour is only worth a maximum of 50 health points and you can carry 10 of them, refilling a maximum of 500 health points. 

 

As a comparison, Egochaser's will refill 45 health points each time* and you can carry 15 of them (so that's 675 health points 'refill ability'), and there's other snacks you can carry too. 

 

*For every complete snack eaten.

I've only just noticed the inventory.  Wow, this makes missions much easier.
