THEGTAGUY4 Posted June 11, 2018 Share Posted June 11, 2018 This topic is dedicated to PES 2019 Nowdays only a small minority of the football (soccer for residents of Unites States of America) world plays PES. FIFA is by far the most popular football game in the market (that doesn't mean it's the better game tho). So this topic is dedicated that minority that still plays PES (I play both games) PES has recently lost the UEFA license. That means no more CL or EL☹️ But they gained 7 new authentic Leagues and 2 more will be announced soon So will it be a good game or a disaster? Fingers crossed mate, We might get something good this year, PES got alot of leagues and plus it has great gameplay yet FIFA acquired the UEFA liscense and has better online It's going to be a good competition between those two. IMO PES 2018 was the first good one since PES 2013 which is still favorite while FIFA 18 was decent, pretty fun but it was basicly FIFA 17.5 with faster gameplay and better graphics. I really hope they have better audio though. When my team is on an attack I want the crowd begin to roar more and more as I counter. I wanna hear and feel every attack and feel that deflation when a shot screams wide. And when a goal goes in I wanna get that explosion of elation. Also please we need better commentary. I'd love to hear an amateur commentator instead of beglin and what's his face. Cheaper but more dialogue. Still hope there will be a fake English league 1 and 2, but I know there won't be- just like 2nd gk kits. Stadium editor please! And please don't have snow tied to anfield alone, lime how neymar is the only one able to take his shirt off. Excited for this... Snow will be in all stadiums, but the one shown so far looks sh*t. PES, just like FIFA has legends like Maradona, Ronnie,Becks,Khan and others . Laker23 Posted June 15, 2018 Share Posted June 15, 2018 If you could give me a football game with the features of FIFA and the gameplay of PES, it'd be fantastic. I have such fond memories of this franchise from when I was young, I always preferred it to FIFA back then. The gameplay video was much more satisfying to watch than any FIFA ones I have seen from recent years, although I haven't bought a football game for around 3-4 years, as I got burnout with the same old crap with some minor tweaks. Cosmic Gypsy Posted June 15, 2018 Share Posted June 15, 2018 I just watched a few game play videos of this and i gotta say, the animations look incredibly similar to the last PES game i played on the PS2. PES was the ultimate football game back then, i swapped to FIFA when FIFA 2010 came out, then after 10 i never played another football game again. Mainly because each years installment was just copy/paste reskin with the number 10 replaced with 11 and so on. I gotta say, as we're in 2018, I'm totally underwhelmed by current gen football games. So master league would be automatically updated too in terms of club names. Should be easy enough to do. Doubt it's gonna be Bundesliga in particular, EA have the exclusive rights for a playable football game (it's a bit complicated) with that league. Football Manager and PES actually have license agreements with the league too, but they are for manager sims it seems. AndyGanteks Posted June 17, 2018 Share Posted June 17, 2018 (edited) No changes on master league or edit mode for 2019 besides a slightly altered kit template, however the fake leagues in edit mode(hopefully more than just 1), you can pick a few interesting formats for them, and make them from 10 to 20 teams due to the addition of smaller leagues like Scotland or Swiss. They are saying basically that they're gonna add a new league every few months as DLC until they have all of them minus the bunsesliga and epl and la liga which are EA's fully, and that """3 year process""" should be over by PES 2021 lol. ANd in 2021 we'll also finally have significant updates to master league and edit mode at last too, maybe that stadium creator as well. Their new PR Lennart is also a fan of myClub and not ML/Edit so you can see where this is going. Insane. Out of principle and my growing detest for EA, I'll only by PES this year, if I buy a football game. Been flirting with the idea for a couple of years now. I should definitely just bite the bullet. This looks good and I need a good change of football game. Anyone know if we're still screwed on Xbox to use custom update files? Personally i'd rather every team/stadium is licensed or none of them are. Kinda weird if the commentator says one real name but the next minute listing off a bunch of made up people. The license thing in the PS2 era never even bothered me to be honest with you as the core game play was far superior to FIFA back in the day. They have the fifpro player names and certain team license (the former giving player likenesses and names of all fifpro players, the latter being club specific stadium and kits etc). But South America pes have the league and team license but South America are not part of fifpro so thus the players are fake. I'd be well happy with league 1 and 2 as fake teams and generic players tbh I'd literally dance for joy The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.
