I think Forza strikes a better balance and is overall more responsive (it's really the best handling model ever for a racing game that kinda tries to be realistic but also accessible) but GT is nice for the extra level of realism. That is where NFS shines (almost makes up for cringey as all f*ck stories) and Forza falls short. But driving physics and graphics quality is definitely Forza's strong suit. Performance was an issue with FH3 for some people too, not me though. Really hope FH4 has a photo mode like Gran Turismo Sport. That scapes mode is a god damn masterpiece. DEALUX Posted June 16, 2018 Share Posted June 16, 2018 It ran poorly on my 980 Ti on Ultra as well until I turned on the dynamic optimization feature and v-sync. Then it was basically on par with Xbox One X (not in 4K obviously) but 60 FPS. I like customization to be a feature but I almost don't use it at all. I spent the most amount of time playing Motorsport 4 and I occasionally painted windows and stuff but didn't go much deeper into customization. I like to know that customization is available but I rarely use it. I like to keep things simple and the most enjoyable thing about these games is the handling and graphics, like you pointed out. I got FH3 but after the update which supported more steering wheels, it started lagging like hell and couldn't drive the car due to controller and wheels settings mixing up. I hope they let us use our own personal radio station as they did in Horizon 3. There's always running AIMP3 in the background anyway, that's what I do for FM7. So I imagine we will have greater flexibility, higher and wider field of views. I look forward to that. As for TDU elements. I'm really happy for that. TDU2 was a great idea executed poorly. If Horizon can pull off the big ideas of TDU2 then I will say H4 might just become my favourite racing game. I'm skipping 3 purely because I have Game Pass now and Britain is going to be the best location yet for me. Although Ireland isnt part of Britain, I would love to see some expansion there. There are a couple of good hints that they might introduce motorcycles. One being that they've clearly looked at the TDU series and implemented TDU features such as garages/houses and expanded character customization. So if they're taking cues from other games, TDU2 and The Crew had motorcycles in them. Maybe it's about time Forza joined. The location of FH4 also works out quite well, being based off England. Enough to justify an Isle of Man style DLC. Isle of Man is well known for hosting the TT motorcycle race, and I could see it being added much like Blizzard Mountain was in FH3. Now is as good a time as any for Forza to finally introduce motorcycles to the Horizon series. They came out of nowhere with the Hot Wheels expansion in FH3. Maybe motorcycles will arrive just as surprisingly. But who knows. I'm betting they delay that feature to FH5 or FH6. Since they've got their "new" key feature already in FH4. That being housing. Can't add features all at once! Edit: In my interest, I just searched around for FH4 motorcycles, and the general idea is that they won't be implementing them. In FH4 at least. As suspected. Bikes don't get as much love as they should in video games in general.
