Also note he doesn't react at all when he throws his bat onto the table; Smashing Beverly's picture frame. Even the worst father figure would acknowledge that in some way. I knew he was an acquaintance of some kind like a friend when I first played. Back when i was in junior high back in 04, I have a distant memory of me and my older cousin playing it around the final few days of October after buying our copys during the release date on the 26th. (How time flies) During the first mission when CJ called him "Big" Smoke, I immediately knew it was one of his homeboys or friends, etc. Don't think CJ or anybody would call their fathers name by using Big with their first name. However, the dialogue between the two at the beginning does make it seem like he's his father lol. From the overreaction due to him mistaking CJ for a robber, the nicknames ("My dawg!"), the promises to avenge Beverly, the Book quotes and BS trying to get CJ to meet his siblings after all this time.
