Apply low-pass filter and import again. Maybe GTA's sound handling is different, this cannot be changed.

Hmm.. let me try that. Thanks.

Edit:

Tried it. It only made the volume lower, thus I can still hear the effect. (1000 Hz, 6DB)

How are you installing this audio file in your game (...) is it directly into the game replacing the files or with modloader? also, what's the format of the sound? GTA SA uses .wav files for most of the audio files; usually for vehicles their sounds must be set as a mono format with 44100 Hz 32 bits.

I saw you have made some really good sounds to the game, hope to see more.

32 bit sound? I'll try that. I made mine 16 bit.

My procedure of making sound mods:

1. Record the gameplay using fraps.

2. Export in Sony Vegas 13 as a .wav, 44,100Hz 16 bit, Mono, PCM.

3. Edit the necessary sounds in Audacity and exporting as WAV (Microsoft) signed 16-bit PCM.

4. Install the sound mods using modloader.

Oh, and thanks for the compliment. Sure, I'll make more.

Well, it still sounds the same.

Used Audacity to export the file to WAV (Microsoft) Float 32-bit PCM.

This is a really unusual problem... Would me mind send me your audio file? I would like to check in my game, I have the feeling that the problem it's related with the game or your computer more than the file itself.

Well, I've checked your audio file and the best you can do is record it again, taking care of the quality; I made a comparison with some sounds I got and also with other mods like SAHQS. just to let it clear, the sound is not corrupted or damaged, what we hear is just how it sounds (NFS: MW has a noisy environment). As I said, the best solution instead of try fixing it is to record it again, hopefully, it will sound better.

You could also try another game, for example, from NFS: Carbon

Did it sound the same for your game?

Oh, and thanks for the suggestion, I'll try one more time...

But what I don't understand is, there is no sound effects except for the engine sounds. I turned it all off.

Yes, the audio sounded just like in your video, but it's just the audio quality, because when I checked in Audacity it sounded just like in-game.

Well, that's curious actually, if you just recorded the engine sounds while disabling the rest of the sounds, why still got noise? I guess you need another method to not suffer from this anymore.
