ChasingCoyote 1,813 Posted July 27, 2018 Share Posted July 27, 2018 AP-EC2 Admiral [You've Had Your Chips] I had had a hard time switching from detonator to suitable gun and killing the driver in time to keep the AP properties, til I found this trick. do NOT detonate as soon as you exit the warehouse, instead go all the way to the freight containers where the AP-EC2 admiral will spawn. stay a bit to the right at the container. when you detonate here the admiral will spawn empty, and just sit there. you can get in and drive but it will lose its properties, instead, stand in front, aim at where the drivers head will be, and walk backward until the driver and passengers spawn inside and begins driving toward you. shoot the driver, then passengers, get in, drive to garage, suicide, and its yours. Yeah, but these vehicles are all used as a vehicle during the cutscenes (they drive away and don't have fancy door animations). I need to know before I inadvertantly disable the script by saving it...Logic tells me no, because there IS time for a jealous girlfriend to show up before you get home unlike She-Drive and Gimp dates...but I need to be sure, because R* logic is so often scewered. I couldn't find a clear answer by searching, so I asked here. hope this is the proper place to ask. edit: interesting side notice: after dancing, don't take the time when it prompts for a kiss, the date is over soon as the dance is over, Michelle was already on me as I exited the club, no time to even get in my vehicle! OrionSR 2,482 Posted August 3, 2018 Share Posted August 3, 2018 Yes, the drive-by date is "special," but it doesn't necessarily end at her home sphere so a two-timing date can occur. The gimp suit and She-Drives dates don't allow any time for the jealousy date, which triggers 7 seconds into the return home phase of the date. Lennart - 371 Posted August 4, 2018 Author Share Posted August 4, 2018 (edited) This RC Goblin looks really cool, thanks to Rhans for the no deaths method which is longer but better for the stats than my old method. Some things that you might find helpful: When you want to get the timer going, you don't have to restart trucking after getting into the timed level's truck. Also, it is recommended to run over a few pedestrians to get a wanted level so the phone call will not interrupt the guy who shows you where the lowrider bet and dance takes place. If you kill him out of curiosity, this will softlock the cutscene, luckily only until you have killed one of the dancers . When you pick up a plank, you can move forwards while holding the descend button. Moving sideways is not recommend but this should cut the time taken by a lot. Yeah, holding an object is a good idea because its harder to spot a magnet than a magnet + object, but I didnt know if attected its movement, this is very interesting, does it descend faster? Also the controls are very different when CJ is on a vehicle and when he is not. When on vehicle the controls are as most know, just like a normal helicopter. If on foot however, walking forward with cj makes the Goblin move forward, and going backwards makes also go it backwards. Space ascend and LSHIFT descends just like a jetpack would. Q and E still can be used to rotate it like a normal helicopter. Yeah, as Lennart said, the second trucking isnt needed. I start it twice because I can use any vehicle to go to the Lowrider minigame and will not be bound to a truck with a trailer. And I also use the wanted level trick to not get a call while talking to the man that start lowrider minigame, or I cancel the call by exiting my vehicle and entering it again, not to far and not to close to the guy (just a bit further enough than the distance needed for him to spawn), and quikcly start the minigame before the phone rings again. This is easier if to do if you use a faster vehicle, thats why I ditch the truck + trailer. 2 Link to post Share on other sites
Lennart - 371 Posted August 4, 2018 Author Share Posted August 4, 2018 A way to get to Driving school after you have skipped the flight: I am talking about the keys that you have to press when you (not CJ) are facing north with the screen. Of course, you can't do that with the RC Goblin so you have to adjust the camera and use W. But this route works: You hold A for one minute and 35 seconds. You will be in a corner at the end of this walk. Then you press S for 43 or longer until you see the camera pick up. Go there and then press W for 3 seconds, A for 37 seconds. Now you walk north with W for a little longer than a minute and then you walk up the hill to hit the wall of the driving school yard with A for 10 seconds. Now you walk north-east with W and A until CJ doesn't walk into a wall anymore. Now you have to make him walk backwards with s until he hits a wall again. Now you only use A to hit the marker that leads into the Driving School interior. Everything from here should be straight forward: you simply walk to VM, and then skip the cutscene. Now you only have to get to a safehouse (with empty garage) on foot and fly the Goblin there. The sound will tell you where it is. Fly it into your garage and close the garage. When you can change weapons again, and the Goblin hasn't been blown up, you have done all this successfully, congratulations. The objects don't change the speed of the Goblin I'd say but the plank gives it a bigger surface which makes it almost impossible to hit the floor with the blades when you only press W. Sometimes, the Goblin still moves for a little bit so you better find a good location for the Goblin. 3 Link to post Share on other sites

AddictionToGaming 3 Posted August 14, 2018 Share Posted August 14, 2018 Not sure if I'm colorblind but I can swear the Voodoo's colour (in Drive-Thru at least, haven't checked the one in the first mission) is different from the one (I tried them all) you usually obtain at a tuning shop. (Drive-Thru vehicle on the left, Transfender Voodoo on the right) It's not a lighting/angle issue. Can the secondary colour (supposedly invisible/unavailable in this case) affect the whole car? Just like when applying unique vinyls on lowriders or sports cars (Sultan, Elegy, etc.) then changing the shade with a secondary colour. Still i dont hear any explosion waited long, and examined the whole block using rocketman but there is no van neither on roof or behind RC Shop. i bet i m doing exactly what is shown in video, maybe day and time matters? Here is my video I noticed the difference, in your video the target van passes behind the RC Baron when you are approaching the Zero Shop after teleportation and a dialogue activates but in my video that van takes the other turn and not follows the same route like yours.
