When everyone thought Rockstar would only deliver the June news on the last day of the month, today is June 4th and we already got what we were promised! The RDR2 pre-orders have opened on both Playstation and Xbox stores, and contain a selection of bonuses between the two existing special editions. Not to forget the Collectors Box, with a plethora of items, being that some of those are also in-game collectibles!

By just pre-ordering the game, any edition, you can get access to the new War Horse and Outlaw Survival Kit, shown below!

The War Horse: The Ardennes War Horse can always be relied on in the heat of the battle, says Rockstar. It has a higher courage level and higher stamina!

The Outlaw Survival Kit: This contains a collection of key supplies for the rigors of life on the frontier - items to replenish Health, your Dead Eye level, and more.

If you have preordered the game via the digital channels, you will also have access to a Cash Bonus on RDR2 Story Mode and a Treasure Map! The Treasure Map includes locations for treasures within the map of RDR2.

Red Dead Redemption 2: Special Edition (Xbox | Playstation)

The Special Edition costs $79,99 and will include exclusive content for the game's story mode, such as:

  • Bank Robbery Mission and Gang Hideout in Story Mode - exclusive access to a bank robbery mission in which Arthur and the gang come up with a plan to rob a bank in Rhodes. The second mission involves taking back a hacienda that was taken over by the Lobos Gang. Money is waiting for you in their stash!
  • Dappled Black Thoroughbred - It's a really quick racehorse with exceptional speed and acceleration, and includes the new exclusive Nuevo Paradiso Saddle, in dark chocolate weather and silver medallion detailing.
  • Talisman and Medallion Gameplay Bonuses - they're special items available in Story Mode that will help you whenever equipped. The Eagle Talon Talisman will increase your environmental awareness skill, and the Iguana Scale will have you take less damage while riding on horseback.
  • Boosts, Cash Bonuses and Discounts - Some of these boosts include boosts to the Core Stats, which include Arthur's stamina, health and Dead Eye levels. You can also earn more cash during robbery missions with your gang, and when hunting and selling animal carcasses. You will get discounts on all upgrades to the van der Linde camp.
  • The Nuevo Paradiso Gunslinger Outfit
  • Free Access to Several Weapons - Volcanic Pistol, Pump Action Shotgun and Lancaster Varmint Rifle.

Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition (Xbox | Playstation)

The Ultimate Edition ($100) includes ALL of the Story Mode content, plus Online content, which is our first insight into the game's Online mode! Including:

  • Bonus outfits - Blackrose Bounty Hunter Outfit and Copperhead Enforcer Outfit
  • Black Chestnut Thoroughbred - a powerful racehorse including the exclusive High Plains Cutting Saddle
  • Free Access to the Survivor Camp Theme - part of a new feature to customise your own camp, you will have access to this theme for free!
  • Free Access to the Bonus Weapons from Story Mode
  • Rank Boost - You will be able to rank up faster in Online Mode, up to Rank 25!

But that's not all. For the hardcore collectors, Rockstar is dishing out a Collector's Box, costing an extra $100.

  • Metal Tithing Box with Lock & Key
  • Collectible Challenge Coin
  • Double Sided 100-piece Puzzle featuring the port of Saint Denis
  • Six-Shooter Bandana
  • Treasure Map printed on very durable unrippable paper, and it's useful to find the treasures in-game!
  • Pin Set of 6 pins
  • Playing Cards
  • Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue for weapons and clothing, also available in stories in RDR2 to read! 150 pages!

FML... I just bought the Collector's Edition without realising that the actual game is sold separately. And to top it off, the Ultimate Edition is another £90. I'm a bit pissed off.

LOL this is garbage. R* rly turned it to a scumbag... who would pay for this sh*t?

They made so much money with gtaonline and they still want you to pay extra for "exclusive story mode content" and toys from 1$ store? Thats just pathetic...

Remember the old days when you bought a R* game and it came with a map and a full story mode without paying extra?

I'm glad I decided a long time ago that I won't be buying anything else from R*. They rly changed over the years... theres no point of supporting them. Now they are just as bad as EA and Ubisoft (if not worse).

As usual. catering to the platformers. No PC release when it is released?  (I don't care if it's a year after) You have lost all my respect. I will never give Rockslar another dime. I do believe you have lost a lot of respect with the gaming community because of your lack of attention to PC gamers. I don't think I'm alone when I say, just get get F#$%&# !!!!

Just like that poo-sifting bloke on GTA IV talk radio said, the problem is it's an industry. This sh*t makes money. You know where the people who buy both the box with the sh*t inside and the Ultimate Edition are? Not on this f*cking forum.

You think you 'Muricans got it bad, it's going to cost me $100 ($75 US) for the base game, $130 ($98 US) for the special edition, or $150 ($113 US) for the ultimate edition from the Playstation Store. That's a 25% markup for no f*cking reason.

you can pay the 50$ for the game and the 100$ for the collector stuff, why would you want it bundled together? so even less people would get it?

So how would it be any different? lol $100 for the collection, plus the game $60. $160

It gives others more options to choose, digital or physical game.

I for one want the Ultimate Edition with the map and steelbook but I want the game digitally. So, they should fix that!

Knowing R*, expect GOTY edition (on PC as well) in 2019 with all the content for all.
