Modder put me in bad sport for over 2 years! WTF?

A modder has put me in bad sport for over 2 years!

 

How do I legitimately get out?

 

I've only once been in bad sport since playing online from the start, and that was a couple of weeks ago when another modder put me in for 4 days, I just left my Xbox 360 on for 4 days and got out that way, I can't leave it on for 2 years!

Contact Rockstar's amazing and fantastic customer support. They sure will love to help you out of bad sport on last gen.

 

For real now, there's not much you can do. It's highly likely Rockstar won't help at all so, might as well give up and go play something else.

I have submitted a ticket, not holding my breath, I'm thoroughly pissed off at this situation.

 

Almost all the modders I've encountered (and there are so many now it's ridiculous) behave like petulant little children.

Thanks, doing a bit of googling I found a reddit thread someone started a couple of months ago saying they also got thrown into bad sport for 2 years 9 months and 18 days (I think that's the limit the game allows, god knows why they programmed in such a high limit) and that they contacted R* and eventually they helped out:

 

 

 

Crossing my fingers, but if nothing comes of it then I'm just going to embrace bad sport - no mercy ever again.

 

Also my level has been screwed with by other modders, used to be a legit 700something from years of playing so many missions, then someone bumped me to 1000something, then another to 5554, now it's 5556 from playing lots more missions. Getting tired of people asking if I'm a modder or simply "money drop pls", wish I could go back to 100.

You don't need to leave it on. The bad sport timer is a real time countdown not an online play time countdown.

Yeah eventually Rockstar Support will be able to revert stuff.

You need to find R* support number and phone them.   It's quickest way to get out of bad sport.   After speaking to a support employee it will take 24 hours for you to be ejected from badsport. 

 

(Don't ask me for the number.   I'd have to go through my telephone logs.  It was 3 years ago when i phoned them)

I got a reply from R* support last night saying:

 

"I understand your concern regarding the Bad Sport issue. I would like to inform you that we have made necessary changes from our end. Kindly try to play the game as normal and to avoid doing things which will increase your bad sports stats during this period.

The Bad Sport pool is triggered by things like quitting games early, blowing up other people’s vehicles, and being reported manually or voted out by other players from the in-game pause menu."

 

I have been playing the game as normal, never been in Bad Sport from that, it's only the fragile ego modders that kicked me in there.

 

Just logged in today and I'm no longer in bad sport lobbies, tried switching a few times, instantly switched once I realised one player I tried to kill is in god mode (not hanging around when I know there are asshole modders int he lobby), and I'm still in ordinary lobbies, but in my info when viewing players, below K/D Ratio it still says "Bad Sport", I guess I'm stuck with that which is ok.

 

The message also asked me to email them directly back to confirm my email address and they'll reset my level back to something normal, I hate constantly getting asked "do u mod?" or "money drop pls"

Ahh, that makes more sense, thanks for the confirmation.

 

Still, it's pretty nuts they left in code that allows a player to be in there for nearly 3 years.

Got an email a few hours ago from R* after I emailed them, they corrected my level and I got a popup when starting Online saying

 

"Rockstar Game Services have corrected your RP levels to 27905301RP."

 

And sure enough when pressed A on my controller and go into a lobby, my level was set back to 703.

 

Happy again, although I still carry the "Bad Sport" status when I look at my stats in the Players list, and my Flying stat is at nothing after a modder screwed with my character and won't go up no matter how much I fly, although it doesn't appear to have affected the actual flying capability of my character.
