What are some of the best ways and fastest ways to complete the vigilante missions?

I advice completing it with the Hunter helicopter, which can be acquired by two ways:

1) Complete the Flight School with all gold medals; OR
2) Start the 'Heli Hell' air race in Las Venturas and take the Hunter to your Hangar in Verdant Meadows. Get out of it and fail the mission. You will be teleported to LV Airport again, but the Hunter is still in the hangar.

The rest is simple, just take the Hunter and start the 'Brown Thunder' side mission. It should be simple and easy to complete.

I prefer waiting until the Rhino (Tank) is available in  Area 69. Steal it and complete the mission, using the changing of a shirt to lose the wanted stars.

There is actually a way to skip a massive portion of the vigilante missions. This involves grabbing a police bike and finding a fast food restaurant. For best results, I use the Well Stacked Pizza in east San Fierro. I have had good results with the Cluckin Bell in downtown San Fierro as well. Simply start the vigilante, hop off your bike and enter the restaurant. Walk around a little while (being mindful of you how long you have until the mission ends) and leave, getting back on your bike to replenish time. For some reason, your targets are often destroyed as you leave the restaurant, or whilst you're wandering around inside. I'm unsure of why or how this works, but I believe it has something to do with how the game spawns enemies when you interact with interiors.

This only seems to work consistently with a few restaurants, and many of the ones in Los Santos don't appear to work at all. I haven't tested this much in Las Venturas. If you don't fancy spending a good hour chasing around miscreants and gunning them down, this is a cheap and easy way to rack up those levels and hit that coveted level 12 without breaking much of a sweat, or wasting your precious ammo.

If you want a legitimate way to complete this quickly and don't fancy waiting to get hold of a tank, your best bet is the motorbike and an SMG. I do this in Los Santos right at the beginning of the game, making sure I take note of where my weapon of choice spawns so I can return there every so often to grab more ammo. The bike lets you shoot more freely, though you are at more of a risk of getting shot yourself if you aren't careful.

PS2 Only.  Well, PS3 and PS4, too.  I think ANY Playstation Version of SA (except maybe the PHYSICAL PS3 Version since it's based off Mobile or something which is like PC and Xbox more than Playstation) can do this.  For Los Santos, all you have to do is use the Ganton Safehouse (heard Santa Maria Beach works, too) and enter the Interior, run up the stairs and into the Wardrobe to change Clothes and like the Fast Food Restaurants, the targets will slowly but surely, one by one be eliminated.  Rinse and repeat until Level 12 is reached and passed.  I must admit I do this on PS2 but I also play Mobile (iOS), so this does NOT work thus I am forced to do it legit and the way I do it legit doesn't actually take so long.  Just 25 Minutes or so, to be honest.  I stay behind the Vehicles and fire forward using an SMG and blow the Vehicles up.  I just did this a few days ago for my Mobile Starter Save, actually.  All I needed was 1,300 SMG Bullets and had about 100 Bullets left when I finished it...

Lol...Would of helped if I read your entire Comment before posting this as I see you mentioned the HPV1000 and SMG Method.  It's honestly not bad and quite easy, but when doing this, you can rack up a big Wanted Level, so knowing Police Bribes, Armor Pickups, and the occasional Weapon Pickup (I didn't need to do this, though) can come in handy.  I had to pick Armor up twice from Level 1 through Level 12 and about 5 Police Bribes from Level 1 through Level 12.

I only do that easy Method on PS2 simply so the "Total Playing Time" Stat is lower and also so I don't need to waste ammo, but if that Method didn't exist, it's still easy.  If all else fails, just wait until you unlock The Desert and steal a Tank from Area 69 and use that to do Vigilante Level 12 quickly.  Keeping in mind the Tank is only Bulletproof and Explosionproof.  It's NOT Damageproof or Fireproof, so any fire on the ground that you may run over WILL damage your Tank and it can blow up before you finish if you run into too much fire...

Fun Fact: This same sort of thing works in VCS but for the Firefighter Mission.  You can do Level 1 through Level 15 in about 10 Minutes or so.  You just go into Ammunation which puts the fires out, lol...Rinse and repeat until Level 15 is passed.  Even during the Story Mission "Hose the Hoes" you can use an Interior to put the fire out, as well.

Ah, yes, forgot to mention it's quite specific to what consoles you play. Thanks for clearing up some of the locations that can be used too.

I recommend waiting until you unlock Flight School, complete it with all GOLD medals to unlock Hunter, then use it to do Vigilante. It's quite easy and can be done in about 10 minutes. I did this a few weeks ago on my tablet and it was quite easy even with the mobile controls as the Hunter machinegun auto-aims to the targets.

Now speaking of the flight school, there may be a few tests that are difficult to get gold to, so you may need to to redo them multiple times, such as Circle Airstrip and Land, which took me like 20-30 tries to get gold to (most of them I did in first try gold, only 2 others I needed to redo as I got like 80-90% score) as I would always screw up a bit at the landing part, either I barely miss the marker or barely damage the plane, so I would score between 75% or 97%. Very frustrating and yes I had to do all tests in one go as I didn't want extra mission attempts (I have 15 extra attempts though but this is because of fact that some missions added attempts but not to missions passed, plus fact that I have 4 extra attempts from Taxi missions as I've done only 10 in a row), so I saved after I completed Flight School, then I redid about 2 tests that I didn't do Gold, then retried Circle Airstrip and Land for about 20-30 minutes straight, until I got gold.

But yeah the original method with using a Police Bike and SMG with a lot of ammo would also work nicely I imagine (I never completed Vigilante that way, only with the Hunter helicopter) though you get a lot of wanted stars and it's very difficult to complete it unless you know all the police bribes or stop at the safehouse to change your clothes, etc. I also never got to work the Vigilante glitch which can kill criminals when you enter the interior, I tried that a few years ago when I was doing my first SA playthrough on PC and it didn't work. I should try in upcoming months when I will do another playthrough of SA but this time on PC. Currently I'm about 84% done on tablet (Android version).

Well, this was already established to be PS2 only, but still unknown about the Physical PS3 Versions...

I'll be honest, I prefer doing Vigilante at the beginning of the Game, just to never do it ever again in Future 100% Playthroughs, since I like to start my 100% Save Games after Starter Saves, meaning that all Side Missions available in the Beginning are crossed off for good. You could wait for the Hunter to be unlocked, but let's be honest, doing Vigilante in the Beginning in SA (and even VCS) is more challenging, plus more fun, plus you'd never have to think about it ever again once it's completed...

I'll be honest, I'm a PS2 Player for SA, yet I don't use this PS2 Exclusive Trick for Vigilante. I know it would add Total Playing Time in my Stats, but I find it more fun and challenging to chase the Suspects with an HPV1000 with 1000 SMG Ammo left. ZMOONCHILD has an Awesome Video where he completed Vigilante Level 12 in the Beginning without having any Weapons, on PC though.

Still, doing it legit on PS2 is much harder on PC as with almost any Task there is in SA. On Mobile, I guess it's on pair with PS2, but luckily on Mobile you can lock your aim onto Vehicles when on Foot.

Not the Place to talk about this, but Taxi Driver can be easily done in 1 Mission Attempt, meaning all 50 Fares in a Row, even WITHOUT Pay and Spray Visits. No need to do 10 in a Row or something if you ask me, I'd rather do it all in a Row to have no Stats Penalties at all...

Ah sorry, I misread that part as being able to do on PC as well. Well, I will try to do it using the Police Bike in the next playthrough and at beginning of the game, I should be able to do it as on my current playthrough, I managed to find a lot more locations for both armor and bribes, compared to the first playthrough I did back then. I could enter the safehouse to change the clothes as well to get rid of the wanted level. And yeah I imagine it will be a lot more fun to complete Vigilante that way, as long as the criminals don't carry heavy weapons and kill you in 2-3 seconds or the police gets too involved.

I would have wanted to do the 50 taxi fares in a row but they are so boring to do and I don't think I can avoid damaging the taxi too much. I've had runs where even after just 10 fares, my taxi was already in damaged condition (well not exactly smoking but still damaged a bit) and I didn't even crash that much.

Let's continue this discussion in the PM if you would like.
