Sinner!
I would go with a mixture of my favourite tracks but also make them as versatile as possible. The Platters - Only You Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence A Flock Of Seagulls - I Ran Genesis - Mama Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants To Rule The World Thinking about it though these are my favourite tracks, I did try to make it versatile though. Star-Lord
Bohemian Rhapsody - QUEEN Major Tom - David Bowie Free Bird - lynyrd skynyrd Hotel California - Eagles Let em" in - Paul McCartney Rider's Of The Storm - DOORS These are tracks that even though I have no idea what's the meaning behind the lyrics - I tend to stop what I'm doing and just listen. They sort of draw you in. Mister Pink and ghostsoap01

Sorviknight
That's a difficult question, but here's some of my favorites: 1) Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven 2) Derek & The Dominos - Layla 3) Boston - Foreplay / Long Time, Peace of Mind, More Than a Feeling (hard to choose between these 3) 4) Slade - My Oh My 5) Don McLean - American Pie livejoker
Rhoda
I wouldn't even need five! I pick ΩΣPx0(2^18×5^18)p*k*k*k by the experimental music duo "Bull Of Heaven". Theorised to be the longest piece of music ever created, even unpacking all the archive files seems impossible. I say it's theoretical because no full recording of it actually exists. Why? Because it clocks in at a decent 80.232 quindecillion hours long. Only excerpts are available online, and they absolutely pale in comparison when you consider the scale of the damn thing. To put that into perspective, we'll probably experience the heat death of the universe before we reached the end of this song, and that's if I had the song in front of me right now, waiting to be played. An interesting note, if you do attempt to unpack the files, you're met with the message "Christ Jesus God Help Me Please" after extracting the first 1000x1000x1000 archive files. I think that should bide me some time.
livejoker
@SorveteQuente That's a great selection, mate. Definitely in the same style as what I'm going. Songs not in any particular order as that would be too difficult to make. My all-time favorite songs. For the most part lengthy songs (+4 minutes) with great replayability. I think having this scenario would include months at a time where you don't play any music which would be Hell. On one hand to give your mind a rest from the same 5 songs but on the other there's no other music to hear. You could pick songs that are hard lyrically so that you can master them over the years, something like Rappers Delight (at like 15 minutes of just rapping) would be a good choice. 1) Billy Joel - Piano Man 2) Don McLean - American Pie 3) Rupert Holmes - Escape (Escape (The Piña Colada Song) 4) Peter Frampton - Do You Feel Like We Do 5) Stephen Bishop - On And On Sorviknight

Rhoda
Okay, I'm back. Sorry about the diversion, but that's a lot of pressure. Having to pick just five songs is a task that itself is punishable by firing squad. 1. Boards Of Canada - Olson 2. 808 State - Pacific State 3. Venetian Snares - Breakbeat Malaria 4. Aphex Twin - Windowlicker 5. Frank Zappa - Willie The Pimp I've missed so many off it actually hurt a little to type this out. In fact... 6. A Guy Called Gerald - Voodoo Ray That's better. ClassicRock
Is this even possible? Not sure if I could without wanting to kill somebody. Lawl. 40 is more doable but I'll give it a shot anyways. 1. Heaven And Hell (Live: Tanglewood Music Shed , MA) - The Who 2. In The Light - Led Zeppelin 3. Melissa - The Allman Brothers Band 4. Hitch A Ride - Boston 5. Presence Of The Lord - Blind Faith Unfortunately that restriction of just five leaves out way, way too many songs/bands that deserve mention. No Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Billy Joel, CCR, Jimi Hendix, Aerosmith, Blue Oyster Cult, Janis Joplin, Cream, Derek And The Dominos, Black Sabbath, Queen, Foreigner (the first LP), Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Doors, Heart, The Steve Miller Band, Stone Temple Pilots, Jackson Browne, U2, Golden Earring, Grand Funk Railroad... just to name a few. The number of bands is endless.

Evil empire
In the disorder: Ennio Morricone - Man with the harmonica Genesis - One man's fool Khaled - Aïcha Nirvana - Come as you are USSR anthem by the Red Army choir (like all the ideologies based on the concentration of powers marxism-leninism is a cancer since democracy is based on the separation of powers, this reality doesn't prevent this anthem from being a masterpiece however). Lonely-Martin
A very tough question indeed. I'll try... The Prodigy - Out of Space. To be fair, I'll never not wanna listen to this track, ever. A huge favourite. Pink Floyd - Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun. Just got a nice raw, experimental edge I enjoy. Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb. If I could, I'd have the whole The Wall album, and Roger Waters' The Pro's and Con's of Hitchhiking too, lol. Kraftwerk - Autobarn. Nice and long, early electronic is something I really love. Gouryella - Gouryella. Full length of course, though Energy 52 - Cafe del Mar is another trance epic I would want to compliment it. Hard to pick between the two. Gouryella edges it as it's a lot longer. As I said, it's a tough one to pick just 5, lol.
