I'm seriously fed up with this silly on call crap. I wanted to join a deathmatch and end up in a basejump. My friend sends me a request even says which deathmatch we're about to play and I end up in a heist set-up. This is happening way too often in the past time.

Maybe instead of getting to take part in gambling in GTA Online, which could mean legal woes for Rockstar in various countries, we could witness NPC's gambling, and instead just get to rob and trash the place in a huge shootout.

 

Why would that cause problems. You're not gambling for real money after all. If that would cause problems, a lot of games would be forbidden.

You are indirectly gamblimg for real money.

However as long as there isn't a way to withdraw the money it is a grey zone.

Apart from that R* should be very carefull, companies like Valve have also got sues for supporting gambling with their skins in CSGO amd those were gambling sites, run by third party people.

 

Lastly, I am so f*cking sure that 99% of people would go flame R* because they lost their money at the Casino, meanwhile not realizing that a Casino is not supposed to be a place to earn money...

 

I am just curious, how are we in fact gambling for real money?, last I checked, in game money was not real.

Did Rockstar change the way they randomly plot the briefcase locations for Sightseer? In the past week I haven't even seen a single briefcase in LS. Literally every time I launch the job I end up with briefcases in the desert and never any further south than the prison. It used to be rare that I'd launch the job in southern LS and have to go to the very top of the map but now it happens EVERY f*ckING TIME.

I'm no conspiracy theorist and I'm not often on the "f*ck you rockstar you're an asshole" bandwagon but I've played Sightseer way too much in my time and I've never experienced anything like this. It feels intentional...like the packages are being placed at the furthest point from me as possible every time. I've removed the job from my personal rotation and have only been doing Head Hunter and Hostile Takeover since they are guaranteed to keep me in LS and close to my office.

Introducing Casino in GTA-online sounds like a great idea, but when you really think it over: mmm, I don't think so...

 

People will lose ingame money... Some of the not very smart ones, will fill up their moneystash by Sharkcards and wham, it's back in through Casino-frontdoor... Rince and repeat,...

 

It would most definitely be a great way for Rockstar to sell more sharkcards, but since it takes so long, I'm guessing they're really thinking it over back and forth, or it's not coming at all with all the (legal) implications it might bring...And I'm not even talking about the Pandora box they might open when the hackers and modmenus will go berserk on the Casino-features....

 

So safe to say, Casino won't arrive in Los Santos... That's my opinion... But I've been more wrong than right, so... :-) Having a ingame Casino, isn't a necessity for me. More than enough ways in LS to lose money...

This is one of the reasons I have such a love/hate relationship with racing; people who treat every race as if it were a demo derby--the new Stunt races seem to bring out the worst of these people.

Agreed; the option to join a Quick Job via the pause menu is often broken, and it's almost as if R is forcing us to go on-call. I hate it more because you can't see any of the options for the job, but yes, far too many times have I requested a TDM or race, and get put into someone's heist set-up. When you get the notification that "no jobs were found", every "random job" you attempt to join is always a heist or set-up.

 

What really grinds my gears is people who cannot use their mics properly and how much of a task it is to mute someone. Sure, I suppose it is a bit easier in a free roam lobby provided you know who is talking and also since you have the ability to set chat to specific people. When you're in the middle of a job though, it is rather ridiculous. They ought to issue some sort of intelligence test to obtain the privilege of speaking to others whilst playing. How many times have you been in a race, TDM, etc. and had the unfortunate pleasure of hearing someone's screaming child, god-awful distorted music playing in the background, or some 13 year old wannabe thug hurling racial or childish remarks at you over and over again.

 

It comes down to the point where I'm likely to start my own vacant party chat when playing or simply turn off the headset and not listen to the game at all. There simply needs to be a more effective way to mute individuals--perhaps by expanding the option to only hear and talk to crew or friends under all circumstances--not just when in a free roam lobby.

Additional moan edit: Also what happened to the skippable intro cutscenes etc, what's this all legal wall of text about? Might not be related to GTAO but it still annoys me. Why I gotta watch some 5 star wanted level rising, 2 rockstar logos and 2 walls of text? Why can't I skip like in 3D universe? Most annoying is when you start a heist and you have to watch an extremely pointless cutscene of you all walking out, then standing there like a bunch of morons for 12 seconds, as if the loading times aren't already bad enough? This waiting is extremely annoying when doing an elite challenge for example.

 

Do you prefer a black loading screen instead? Are you playing on PS4+ If so the timer is broken.....

 

Now for some B&M; Did a race last night and and it was custom off. Second place and all. Suddenly my engine start to lose some horses under the hood. The car cant even make past a simple stunt jump that it cleared a lap ago!? Oh it was that Maze bank Arena Stunt thingy.......

I have had more of those far locations in sightseer as well, but then I thought it was because I fired it up closer to Vinewood. I don't see the possible implications, since for one, it's only virtual money you're winning or losing, since it doesn't even buy you a single loaf of bread or a beer, and secondly I don't expect there to be an outcry in an R rated game where you can pick up hookers at the side of the road (btw, that's another bitch and moan subject, since a female character can only go girl on girl). And third, anybody should know the secret of a casino, so the bitching and moaning about that should be taken for what it is. Idiots not getting what Casinos are about. They're not a charity, but make a living on everyone losing money.

as long as the ingame money is somehow connected to shark cards (thus real money) it is not pure virtual money anymore.

you are looking at it too one-sided.

you are correct that you cannot win real money from the casino but you can actually lose real money with it.

and that's the judicial problem here.

Someone pitted me as I was passing them for the lead yesterday, despite me racing clean. After another bump off track I decided to go full evil, turn around and cost him the win, easy enough on Vespucci with the narrow last corner. So I did. Sorry. Not sorry.

H2OO seems really impossible with a standard stock car if you race with other players, I can't test a custom vehicle because I have none that are eligible/affordable

just now but played it three times yesterday and drowned the car every time in the pipes section which has made me decide I'll make my own version if it with

less water risk when the creator is officially available.

Wow yesterday was a very bad day...

Use my proto for the second time on stunt race and race like sh¡t so i sell that garbage. Try 3 more stunt race and always crashing or going off the track so im done for the night.

Play HLR heist and people still die and die. The worst part is that the gunner go to the mini gun!!
