I stopped bothering with Daily Objectives a long time ago because I permanently have to do at least one Capture mission every day.

 

It feels bad that I'm missing out on free money, but it feels good that I don't have to grit my teeth out of frustration waiting for someone to join.

mine is "kill a reveled player" like all i want to do is wait for someone to join, start the mission, they leave, so much for kill a reveled player, he joined to leave.!

[No Use For A Name]

Figured I'd bitch/ask in here instead of starting a thread and getting yelled at.

 

I just started a mission and it said it'd cost $230k to refill all my ammo. Strange, I was playing earlier and I had plenty. Might have been low on explosive stuff but I think it said it'd cost around $50k to replenish everything. Didn't think anything of it until I tried to shoot some enemies and I was out. Like completely out. Every single weapon I own says 0. Even the gas can.

 

What the hell? Is there anything R* would do to reimburse me? That's nearly $200k gone.

I stopped doing them the last time I got the 500k bonus with my 2 characters, like 2 weeks ago. Don't miss them a bit. The money they eventually give you per day is not hard to earn on your own doing whatever you want instead of repeating the same 10-12 chores several times a week.

Last night I decided to snipe some players from atop my apartment so I switched from Free Aim to full Assisted Aim to get into the AA lobbies. Quit to creatort then hit go on the online menu, it loaded up a session very quickly. Spawned in and no players, hit find new session and again no players. Do it again and again, wasted about 40 minutes searching for a god damn AA lobby. Finally found a 27 player lobby when I was about to turn off my PS4.

 

Non B&M : in the lobby I was able to have a great Freemode war battle with the organization I joined and this other organization who started it. No one in the enemy organization used pussy tactics such as Marksman Rifle wiggle left and right spaming and 'kill yourself' option when the enemy were near death. Holy sh*t man this is the very first freemode battle I actually enjoyed, too bad other battles I took part in had those fa**ots who resorted to sh*ty pussy tactics when they were losing.

What the heck, man?

 

I get customs-off so that the "haves" and the "have-nots" are on equal ground (and it certainly throws the regular racers for a loop when their preferred cars perform differently), but it sets it up so 4th-last are screwed in the first 10 seconds when the scrubs try to reenact the final police chase scene from Blues Brothers and the ones that started in the front three get their own three-car race. I happened to be in that group of three and only 4th was able to finish the race before the mercy clock ended it.

Using Find Quick Job and Going On-Call has been broken off and on for the last few months, but it has definitely reached an all-time broken low with the latest update. I'm not quite sure what happened, but during the first couple of days after the update everything seemed to work fine (no worse than it has ever been), but this past week has been ridiculous.

 

Scenario One: Searching for one of the new stunt races via On-Call. I click the button, but the timer just keeps going and going and going. Absolutely nothing. I change sessions and repeat--again nothing. I switch lobbies yet again and see a random invite to one of the races; I click it, but it asks me if I want to spectate. I say "no" and am stuck in the clouds waiting for a new lobby. When I finally load in, I wait for a few minutes and another invite comes my way. I click it immediately, but again, the job has long since launched and I'm asked if I want to spectate.

 

Scenario Two: Having given up on finding a Stunt Race, I click to find a standard race through Quick Jobs in the pause menu. No races have been found, and I click the option to find a random job. Instead of finding a random job, I am met with the message that an error has occurred and find myself in Story Mode.

 

Scenario Three: I sign back in. This time I try to find a TDM. I click to go On-Call, and am waiting for a map that has 4/16 players. Fine, I think; I'll wait. Well, I wait, wait, and wait more, and the number eventually increases to nine. This at least looks promising, so I wait a bit more. From nine it goes to seven, then down to five, and within a matter of moments, down to three. I give up and decide to find one via the Pause Menu. I am loaded into the lobby that I am fairly certain I had been on-call for previously, and see that the host is an on-call host. Seriously?! I thought this had been fixed. I back out and search for a stunt race again; nothing, just a never-ending "search for job" timer. I look for another TDM through the pause screen, and find myself in a different lobby with yes, you guessed it--another on-call host. Frustrated, I back out and see that an invite is in my box to a regular race. I accept and am met instantly with a frozen black screen of death. I wait, wait more, and eventually close the game and call it a night.

Wait, I don't get it. Are you bitching about ram central (I've only ever hosted races like you described and win most, regardless of starting position and early carnage) or about the settings because "wah slipstream"?

Starting in first doesn't guarantee a win. Get better at racing, use the right racing lines, play a little aggressive. I've came from behind plenty of times without slipstream or catchup. That's how I always play.

 

EDIT: If slipstream was more realistic rather than how absurdly powerful it is right now, I'd keep that on.

I know what you're talking about, but ammo shouldn't be an issue. I (and i assume most players do) carry 9999 bullets for all my guns. And damn, you can make that money back, playing just one free roam job, as sightseer. The jet should cost more, its a multimillion dollar machine

They should, but they cost about $200 a pop. I'm bound to spend more ammo than $200 worth even if every shot his the fuselage. Regardless of if I can make that money back, I'm still losing money faster than the pilot, and need more skill to hit him than he does me.

Its still not an issue. In that case, the armored Kuruma is way worse. Unless you're getting him from the right angle, you're either getting killed, OR you blow up his car & pay alot more than $200. While he doesn't have any costs at all.

At least he's gone right away, usually before he can get a single kill.

 

Plus Kuruma guy can't float across the map faster than anything in the game, attack you while you're on a rooftop, use an explosive beam of death, etc.

 

Whether or not jets are completely overpowered is debatable, but I don't think there'd be so many people complaining about them if they weren't at least a little too powerful.

Thats great, but you can't run forever. The jet can't follow you behind buildings, it can't follow underground either. Anyway, in THIS case, the jet would pay for you, if it kills you, while in your car.

Either make it "natural" (no slipstreaming and no catchup) or "arcade" (both on).

Yes, slipstreaming is a real thing, but not Rockstar's interpretation of it.

The prop placement on the ramps in Double Loop keeps f*cking me over. I'll be driving straight, do a loop, and then crash straight into the invisible corner of a prop and go from a fight with the leader to barely scraping back 5th out of the pack.

I upgraded to get away from this crap. "Timed out" "Timed out" "Timed out" That happened once in a blue moon before this update now I get it 80% of the time. And the game's having trouble finding me lobbies for activities now too, I'm sitting there waiting as the timer goes past 1 minute then cancel as after that time, you know it's not putting you in anything. And when it does find something, it's something you didn't even want. A DM...... I said contact mission stupid game.

As for Afterburner, it's pretty much drive straight, big jump, turn left, drive straight, tube, turn left, big jump. Plus the amount of glide glitching on there...
