Today doing crate work: parachuted crates on the hills around the art museum, solo, to Logistics Depot; followed by "walk around and shoot near-dead gang members" on the beach house EAST of the art museum for off-radar crates, solo, to Logistics Depot. Both were three trips, each.

Two purchases that took a combined 27 minutes. I should have blown them up and traded the lost cash for gained time.

Well, she did say reliable, and with the sh*t P2P connections, a lot of shots with the heavy sniper don't land because the jet will warp, and even once it's down, you've spent more in ammo than they have on getting the jet. It wouldn't be a problem if they didn't have the explosive rounds.

 

 

I know what you're talking about, but ammo shouldn't be an issue. I (and i assume most players do) carry 9999 bullets for all my guns. And damn, you can make that money back, playing just one free roam job, as sightseer. The jet should cost more, its a multimillion dollar machine (F16's cost like 20 million) and i doubt you can buy hundreds & insurance covers them, if you get shot down, lol. But yeah, should have regular rounds, or atleast not unlimited explosive rounds.

 

The Heavy Sniper is not f*cking reliable at all, especially not on console. Jets move faster than you can reliably hit and the connections in this game make it 20 times worse.

 

And "just get your own jet to beat the jet" is not a solution either.

 

 

You only need to get a handful of shots in, which is pretty easy unless the connection is really bad. They'll start smoking & its only a matter of time, until they crash. And getting your own jet, isn't a permanent solution, but what is? A railgun? They can always get a new jet.

It isn't easy to kill a jet with a sniper. I'm a pretty darn good sniper and I have troubles shooting down jets because it takes several shots to kill it - something that is faster, more agile and more deadly than your gun - and it only takes one swoop over to kill you.

 

And if getting your own jet is the only way to kill a jet, then you can clearly see my point.

 

 

 

On topic - I had no idea where to put this but I'll just chuck it here so I don't end up bumping a shark card thread. I was in a conversation with my friend, who insists that paid DLC would be stupid because you can just optionally buy things with shark cards anyway.

 

So, curious, I thought of how much Rockstar would price each DLC if all the content was free outside of the real money asking price. $9.99 seemed likely to me. Some more cynical, might say $14.99 or $19.99. Some might say less and suggest $4.99, $7.99, or something similar.

 

I tallied up the cost of everything in the Cunning Stunts update aside from car mods, because that would require, you know, actually buying everything.

 

The total cost of everything wound up being $14,667,982... nearly fifteen million for what is supposed to be a cheap update! A $100,000 shark card costs $3.75 AUD, but you can get a better deal by buying bigger shark cards. The cheapest way to get the $14.67M required to have everything in Cunning Stunts is by purchasing two Megalodon cards, $8,000,000 at $109.95. So we'll allow that.

 

Obviously, you'll have money left over, so we'll be fair and reduce the price by that amount. $8M at $109.95 means Rockstar values a single Australian dollar to $72,760.35 in GTA. Fair. From that, we can work out our results!

 

Rockstar believes the Cunning Stunts Update is worth $201.59 AUD ($151.13 USD) to you.

 

Personally, I'd pay the ten bucks.

(almost) daily bitch and moan about griefers AND MOTHERf*ckING RAGEQUITTERS in races. ffs if you actually have something to do go drive off the track and afk. Those that leave just because they suck at racing need to understand they're not battling for 1st, they're battling for the place in front of them. That's how improvement happens.

This for days, stuck in 3rd place, treat it as a track day and run time attack laps, do it on Forza 6 all the time (because sènor jackass #1-6 crash and spin out on the first corner, Sir dipsh*t McGee then forgot what brakes are and plows in to the back of my car while I'm trying to make it through the first turn chaos.)

I spent 30 minutes driving around Sandy Shores, Grapeseed and Paleto trying to find a Sandking with no bull bar, roll bar, and no cup. Finally found one, took it to Beeker's...and the second I drove in it installed a f*cking bull bar? Seriously? f*ck you, R*

 

I've got a feeling the bullbar can be removed via the same spam up/down glitch as some spoilers. Maybe this was patched, or maybe I'm just wrong.

 

Also, the blue NPC-modded SK doesn't have one (or sidesteps) - spawn it opposite the LSC using another 4-door SK, 9-5

Sightseer takes me a couple minutes because I can ace all the minigames and Buzzard from package to package.

 

Headhunter is a pain for me. I keep getting targets that are in buildings or in too much cover to take out with the Buzzard, a lot of the times the AI will snap onto me and kill me the second I enter their range, I suck at leading rockets and it takes dozens of lock-on rockets to destroy their vehicles, and if I decide "screw the Buzzard" and take a Kuruma instead I have to drive all over the goddamn map.

 

When hunting them in a buzzard, use the traffic against them. Follow them a bit away and as soon they hit a red light fire away. Two missiles and their car stops for good!

Absolutely. Even as a helicopter pilot (who'd be affected by both things) I still think they should add them. The jets really need reining in a little.

I don't know, it depends who you're playing with. I'd say, 6 out of 10 times, the jet isn't 'jumping around' and killed or disabled by the heavy sniper within 5 minutes. I'd like that sniper van from SP, if you know what i mean... an anti air vehicle? Don't really want GTA to end up as Battlefield more than it already is. And you could finally say bye bye to helicopters...

It isn't really hard, you just need the right angle & distance. Don't forget cover, use your expensive cars. 2 good minutes and its done. If you have other players, keeping him busy with the homing launcher, it may even over faster. I see your point, jets are annoying & not easy to defeat, but its not hard at all. Unless they're really good, only diving bombing you, are offradar & have McDonalds WiFi.

I said it in another thread: Make a vehicle based off of the Insurgent or Brickade and make it a mobile "Yacht-AA" area-denial weapon.

Pegasus-delivered, and an Associate or the CEO can drive it and the weapons are automatic. Limited range (equal to the lock-on range of rockets) and only targets airborne targets, but non-friendlies flying inside its circle are doomed. The vehicle itself is explosive/rocket resistant.

Well in my own experience, nearly every jet I see is jumping around.

 

As for an anti air vehicle, I think it would have a bigger effect on jets than helicopters. Helicopters are better at flying low, so could just get down until they're close enough to blast the thing. Jets wouldn't have so much luck.

If you've got a Hydra, it's piss easy. Launch it while in the desert so that nobody spawns inside a parking garage and float around in hover mode spamming the cannons when you get near the targets. Easy money. Provided you've got a Hydra, that is.

 

 

 

Desert launch is the way to go , though there is one Superman in the cluster of trees/cabins between Harmony and Great Chaparral. He does not die easy.
