Seriously Rockstar, get f*cked in the ass with a foot long cactus. Then bathe in lemon juice and salt. This is bullsh*t.

I was able to spawn 4 NPC Sentinel XS's in one evening. Most I've ever been able to spawn was 2

 

All four were stolen by other players

I thought you can? It also sets a bounty on them, and an objective to kill him, for your other teammembers

It's free, there might be a cool down but I've never had to use it more than once in a session. There is also an option to simply dismiss them without putting a price on their head but that wouldn't be very much fun would it?

Whilst it's a stupid mechanic to have in the first place, it's a darn sigh better than just standing there next to no defense aside running for cover.
