GTA:Online has almost. Waiting to see if it's a full jump when the DLC hits. If it's only expensive Benny cars with no new additional decent playable content = JUMP THE SHARK. The game is very close now to being driven by microtransaction generating content instead of advancing the franchise.

I think it's kinda silly that people are complaining about free updates to a game that's almost 3 years old. Though I am admittedly disappointed by how small this update is considering all the stuff that's been leaked.

 

 

It's not a FREE update when I have to pay for the precious bandwidth that I am force to use to download these ridiculous updates that I don't even want. So, no. It isn't free when my ISP is billing me every month for the data that I use.

Okay, more gangster updates, how quaint. What's next, double money Lamar missions? They're worth absolutely nothing for the headache they happen to give.

 

Fixing main big problems in the game seems to be a task that Rockstar is intentionally ignoring and only care about appeasing to the crowd for those glorious shark cards, and sadly many of the people at the GTA subreddits are turning or already turned into regular r/HailCorporate snobs and attack anyone with a negative opinion.

 

No fixes to the races, no new contact missions that pay well, not allowing fun on the map, but we gotta sell 2 heavily overpriced junks of gangster and the new ugliest vehicle in the game, and it had to be the Faction of all things.

Frame rate on PS4 is CONSTANTLY below 30 when driving in Los Santos. Quick example is me doing this week's time trial.

Driving through Davis, you know where tram trucks are near Franklin's place, FPS is around 25-27, it isn't 30 for sure.

 

Now I know PS4 is a good deal if it can run high settings at 30 fps for 300$/300€ but it's a PS3 game for f*cks sake! Of course it won't do 60 fps on these settings like 700$ PC, but least it could do is provide stable 30!

It boggles my mind that people aren't making topics about this in Rockstar Support, demanding the game to be optimized further, it's not even explosions on 10 cars, it's just driving Turismo through Davis Los Santos!

 

 

I rarely play this on my PS4, as I'm primarly PC player so I haven't noticed it as much, but people that play everyday should really demand Rockstar to fix that.

Hate on Ubisoft all you want but The Division runs stable 30 fps at true 1080p on PS4, never dropping a single frame, no screen tearing, no stutter, and this is a very pretty game.

 

I know what a stable 30 fps game feels like and GTA V on PS4 is not one of these games.

I can't do this freaking time trial on PS4 with these frame drops and traffic, back to trying for like 15th time.

Races aren't broken in my experience, missions pay out a lot better than they originally did, no one forces us to buy anything so don't buy something if you don't want it and if there is no fun, why are you still playing (to be fair, I ask myself this question a lot).

 

The main problem is the whole p2p thing. That will never be fixed as the game is coded to work on a p2p set-up. To change this would require a lot of re-working and would not be practical for any games developer to do.

 

Shark cards or not, this is the future of gaming - look at the Division, you've got to pay extra to gain access to part of the map (which I believe to be quite a significant part to the game) that is already there at release. Fair enough if it's something that is added as part of a DLC but day 1 content? Hell no, that's a lot worse than shark cards, which are totally optional and not forced on anyone in the slightest. Ubisoft are pretty much forcing their players to pay extra. At least rockstar does their best to keep the player-base together.

No, I see your point. Rockstar has great passion about anything that interests them and I appreciate that, but I believe their biggest flaw is not knowing where that passion belongs and what deserves it the most.

 

This shark card thing is optional, sure, but look at how high the cashwall has risen to, it's a poor excuse of a joke. Then again, this is more of TakeTwo's fault, those guys are greedy f*cks that force Rockstar to milk the franchise.

i dont care. they are all the same dudes selling you products and then pointing fingers at each other when sh*t doesnt work right. i turned off my system, restarted the download, still stuck at 0%. only now im getting told im no longer connected to the internet while im still online on my ps4. now i turn everything off and reset the modem. delete everything off my ps4 except for games and game files, re-establish internet connection and its finally downloading.

 

i have psn plus on ps4. i pay to access this stuff and have it automatically download to my system. i shouldnt have to figure out how to get updates to actually update every single time they update something. and this is a forum rant, quit being such a fanboy and blindly defending those companies. why the hell is microsoft in charge of my playstation downloads?

 

whenever someone starts with choke on a bag of dicks, dont take it so serious gridlock. im just waiting for this dumb stuff to work itself out. oh and i got to 99% done and it cant figure out how to download the last 1%. its been stuck telling me it needs 10 more minutes to download the last .400 GB.

 

ok. all finished. it was supposed to auto update and be ready when i woke up but after an hour of messing with stuff its finally done. why did i blame sony? because they are the ones charging me for these services that used to be free on ps3. sony thought if fanboys will blindly pay xbox for internet access we can do the same to our customers. online fees are like toll roads. once you start paying for them they will never go away.
